The property felt crammed full. We stayed in a room on the first floor of the motel and the floors above us creaked every time the occupants moved. Thankfully they went to bed on time so we could sleep, but when they got up at 4:45 in the morning to start their day, we were awakened too. If you stayed on the second floor, you'd be fine, but I would not recommend the first floor of the motel." We did not use all the amenities aswe preferred to spend all our time exploring the area.It has a lovely ambience and a good location with the orange loop shuttle stop across the street. We spent two nights at the hotel. The main problem was that the room was too hot and refused to cool down. The temperature outside was in the 30's but the room was sweltering hot. We complained to the front desk and a technician came and showed us how to work the temperature controls. Inspite of turning off the heat and reducing the temperature, the room was uncomfortably hot - both nights. The staff was likely overwhelmed since the hotel seemed to be full. The paid breakfast in the hotel had a wait time of over 30 minutes even though several tables were empty. We wish the room HVAC worked. The hotel is pricey and for the rate it charges - we expected better.
