They did everything to make our stay as relaxing as possible. Worth the price and more. Wish we planned a longer stay at this onsen at the end of our 2 week trip to Japan. We would make another trip just to come here. It was everything we imagined. There was a person waiting to greet us when we got there (which, honestly, we had never imagined). The meals -- we had a dinner and a breakfast -- were the best and also the fanciest we had while in Japan, full stop. We were completely floored at the care taken for every little detail during our stay. It feels nicely out-of-the-way once you get there, but it is not hard to get to at all. The staff offered to pick us up from the local train station on our way in, but we decided to walk. The walk is totally fine if you are used to walking and aren't hauling a 70-pound bag, which we were. We gratefully accepted the inn-keeper's offer of a ride back to the train station when we left. We were making our way back to Tokyo from Nagoya and decided to stop here along the way. It’s a quick 15 train ride from the bullet train, and the owner was nice enough to pick us up from the train station. We stayed in room type “A” and it was perfect. There was a beautiful attention to detail in the design of the space, and they thought of everything you might need to have a comfortable stay. They also communicated with me completely in English which made for a smooth check in and check out process. They will even help you with dinner reservations. We can’t say enough about the owner, he really went above and beyond to make sure we had an amazing stay.
