The staff was really great ... extremely patient and always ready to help. The surrounding area is mostly indigenous Taiwanese, but this is not an area with many Western tourists. We didn't see any. The local Bunon people are great and the area is amazingly beautiful. Recommend the hike to Rainbow Falls, but be advised it is very, very steep. The trail is wide and well-surfaced, but can be aerobically challenging. The only problems with the room is that there is no shower, only a tub, and there were some exposed wires in the bedroom. It's safe for adults, but I wouldn't want children to pull them. Did not seem to be a fire hazard, but likely doesn't meet the electrical code. Natural beauty of the surrounding is breathtaking. The hotel offers a very comfortable clean room with a big ensuite hot spring bath tub for a total relaxation and stress relieving experience. There is a public balcony high up overlooking the valley below offering the best views of sunrise.
