We arrived late at night, and it was an easy, short walk from the airport. Carson, the night clerk, was very friendly. Our Tibet area permit had been mailed to the hotel, but was not readily found by staff. Carson continued to make calls and contacted our Tibet guide company in the middle of the night and stayed on it until our permit was found. We left early in the morning before the kitchen opened for our complimentary breakfast, but Carson found some things for us to eat. I look forward to staying here again. Fairly easy to find, taxi knows the locations even if you don't speak Chinese. But the hotel itself was pretty disappointing. Our first room the air conditioning didn't work. The front desk and pretty much all the staff we encountered spoke no English. The other hotels we stayed at always had someone that spoke a little to assist.
