This is primarily a farming region though there are some modern hotels like this in the midst of the paddies, and there were people tending to plots right next to the hotel which added some color to the experience. The owner's brother who works nearby came over to translate since I don't speak Chinese, and was incredibly helpful. Dining options are limited for someone like me on a bicycle, but there is a restaurant a short walk away across the road where you can also fish if you like! The owner's wife who was on duty the next morning spoke English very well and was also very gracious and helpful. The place has a tranquil environment especially at night. Owner is a friendly person who can make very good breakfast. One thing which I don't really like about this place is that it has a bit distance from the nearest train station, night market and other famous tourist spots which make transport a bit difficult where you can only take taxi or rent car / motorbike. Owner do provide transport to send you to train station though. Very quiet place with a nice private pond. There are green fields surrounding the hotel, making the whole place an extremely relaxing. If you are driving, there would be no problem getting around (with help of GPS of course).
