This expansive home offers three living levels which include 4 bedrooms, 4 and a half bathrooms, sweeping ocean views, a game room, private beach access, and so much more. Your family will be spinning vacation tales about this wonderful home for years to come! The wide foyer welcomes you into a spacious open living floor plan that is accented by abundant natural light and spectacular ocean views. An open dining and kitchen area that features a second breakfast room for informal meals ensures ample seating for friends and family to gather. The well-equipped kitchen offers you a double stacked oven and a reverse osmosis water filtration for the purest water possible. Along with this are two refrigerators, a wet bar in the dining room, and a half bathroom for your guest’s convenience. The spacious deck off the living room has beautiful ocean views along with a covered area and what a great spot to take that afternoon nap in the shade. The middle level of the home is the sleeping quarters. The spacious primary oceanfront suite has a large king size bed, sitting area that converts to a queen sleeper sofa, and on suite bathroom that offers a soaker tub a zero-entry shower with grab bars. A nearby guest suite offers two queen beds with a private bathroom. The third guest bedroom is furnished with a queen size bed and offers marvelous ocean views. Another guest bedroom with two twin beds is close by and neighbors the hall bathroom that serves the two guest rooms. Also on this floor is the laundry room (washer/dryer) with large counter space, cabinets, separate sink, and ironing board. The top living level of “Madras House” is a wonderful gathering space as it offers a sitting area with TV, a pool table, foosball table, and a sensational roof top deck where everyone will love hanging out. There is a queen sleeper sofa and a full bathroom on this level which helps it double as a sleeping area for larger groups. A workstation, reading nook, and library of books make this space extremely versatile and offer a great space to escape to. The private top floor deck offers the best panoramic ocean views on the island but also captures the picturesque sound views. A great place to have that evening cocktail and experience a Key West sunset! There is a boardwalk that takes you directly to the beach and is shared by the neighbor next door. A fully enclosed outdoor shower with hot and cold water and a foot washer add to the convenience of this lovely home. There are plenty of beach games in the garage, bocce set, beach tennis and other beach items which you are welcome to use. The garage is not used for parking but has a handicap ramp with a 2-inch rise for each horizontal foot of travel - if needed. Enjoy Carolina living in this spacious beach home – make this a family tradition worth starting and keeping! This property has been equipped with an elevator in the past, however, it is not compliant with Weston’s Law and therefore has been disabled. The elevator cannot legally be operated for any purpose. We greatly regret any inconvenience this may cause, and we appreciate your kind understanding as we work with the homeowner and our local vendors to eliminate any deficiencies and provide a safe amenity for everyone to enjoy. So close to water so super easy to go back and forth with young kids. Everyone had their own space. I couldn’t tell this from the pictures but two of the BRs are set up perfectly for a family with small kids - a room with a queen and a room with two twins is set up like its own suite area - it allowed my 4 yr grandson to be close to mom and dad but still in his own room so he (and they) got better sleep. The eagles nest on top of the house made it great to also watch the sunset at night. The house was very clean and well equipped. My biggest concern was that the patio door didn’t lock, which made us concerned about valuables when we were at the beach. Also, I wish we would have known there was construction two doors down, as it made it impossible to be able to enjoy relaxing on the back patio. The house does need to be updated \~ especially the master bath toilet, as it would constantly run. Other than that, we would stay again. Loved the location, size of house (my daughter-in-law called it a labyrinth house!) Gorgeous views, huge deck, interior large rooms were tidy with lovely colors & decor, & comfortable. Negatives: very expensive for lack of upkeep, many things need attention (stains on carpets, coffee pot didn't work (noted on earlier review), Safety issues: the main back sliding door has no locking hardware and a wooden rod was the only way to lock door. As a main back exit, this is a safety issue- in an emergency it would be very difficult to exit, especially at night when you wouldn't be able to locate rod. (I saw a review complaining about this last year and thought it had been fixed) Also that same walkout area had an old worn out attached wooden mat that was damaged with slivers of ripped wood which could potentially hurt bare feet! All that said, you can feel the love and attention this house once had, and we had a wonderful time staying there. I will probably stay there again if we return. ##### Jean D. Outside deck is great as is the entire layout of the house. Good linen and towel service and laundry room. CONS: There are no window shades or coverings in almost the entire house, including the bedrooms. Furniture and carpeting are stained or tired. It does feel a bit "run down around the edges" and could use some sprucing up (stained carpet in the living area, windows that have lost their seal and are permanently clouded). The wall to wall carpeting is worn and stained in some spots; there’s peeling paint here and there; some of the louvered shutters on the windows are broken; one of the cabinet doors in the kitchen was loose; a lampshade in a bedroom was stained. That was disappointing but we still had a wonderful time in this oceanfront home and would happily stay there again. ##### Monica W. It had no lock on the back sliding back door and it only stayed shut with a broken board. It appeared that the only way you can shut the shades in the rooms is to either walk around with a pole or climb up in the window boxes. Due to NOT feeling safe with a door that had no hardware on it, we left 30 minutes after arrival and checked into a hotel. I went to the rental office the following morning, showed pictures and they agreed to refund me. If they go through with the reimbursement, I will happy to give the rental company a good review. ##### Amy G. Reviewer Comments: We had a wonderful week with 13 family members from July 10-17\. Two of our adults were handicapped.One thing we would like to see added is the downstairs bathroom needs a higher toilet and handles for handicapped. Also the bathroom beside the room with the hospital bed and king bed needs a higher toilet and handles. The space is too small to help someone on and off the toilet.The elevator was wonderful!!!! It worked perfectly!We did have some issues with huge roaches showing up from time to time - kitchen, upstairs hallway, etc. Needs roach treatment or something.Overall we had a wonderful week and the maintenance guys came out pretty quickly to fix the door to the deck - it was hard to push and got stuck a couple of times. ##### Nancy B.
