A first class Stay in one of North Devon's Finest
amazing hotel, room ready early for check in, room was lovely great sea view. The food at the restaurant was amazing as good as any Michelin starred establishment. Service was excellent. The walk down to the beach the next morning was awesome. Really first class all the way would definitely stay there again.

We enjoyed our stay very much and the Staff were kind and obliging. As I am a little disabled found it very difficult in the Shower as nothing to hold on to and also outside the lift on the 1st floor the two steps to the right would be much easier with a hand rail. Views superb, and very warm and comfortable. Lovely Break.

Very unhappy with our booking and our room
Booked through Hotels.com. The room type was advertised as executive sun pipe room no sea view. In the details it showed both sea view and non sea view. Even further in the details it says no windows. Nobody reads that far down when booking. So on arrival we discovered our room was a very large cupboard. Could only sleep with the air con running all night. Booked for a week left after four nights. Hotel said they could not give us another room. Very un happy.

Full room description, stating the room does not offer conventional windows is available upon booking, and we are sorry you've missed this, causing an even bigger disappointment upon arrival. The hotel was -/is fully booked and therefore we did not have an alternative bedroom to offer. We hope you've enjoyed any other aspects of your stay and the glorious weather. We hope this hasn't deterred you from a future visit, we would love to welcoming you back.

Wonderful Watersmeet
Fabulous location! Room had amazing sea view with floor to ceiling bay window so you could sit in bed looking out over to Woolacoombe. Food was fantastic, breakfast and Bistro. Did not try the fine dining as just not our thing. Weather was lovely so we had all our meals on the terrace. Sun beds on the lawn were very comfortable, perhaps could do with a couple more as it’s such a great spot. Spent an afternoon at Coombesgate beach which is next to hotel and much quieter than Woolacoombe or barricane. Definitely take the walk out to morte point… stunning!! A real treat for us, our second break here and we cannot wait to go back. Oh… did I mention the sunsets!?!

Fantastic hotel- 10/10, would visiy again
The hotel is beautiful, sat overlooking the water. The dining room offers glorious views, and the dinner and breakfast were very good. The service was amazing, effective and friendly, from the receptionist to the restaurant staff. The room was very clean, comfortable and spacious. The indoor swimming pool was very nice for a morning dip- good water temperature. I wholeheartedly recommend this stunning hotel.

Lovely stay, the weather was good, beautiful views, great food, friendly staff, very clean. Walk up to Mortehoe is very steep but worth it for a pint in the pub.

Lovely hotel in an amazing location.
My wife and I really enjoyed our stay here. We reserved a Deluxe Double Sea View Room with Balcony (room 5) and were not disappointed. The bed was very comfortable, the balcony a great size (large enough for two loungers and two chairs0 and the view was stunning. It was a bit overcast when we arrived so we made use of the excellent indoor pool and jacuzzi (we had it all to ourselves). You can get to the beach directly from the hotel garden and it's a very quiet beach with lovely sand and decent surf. The hotel staff were very attentive and welcoming and the food (dinner and breakfast) was very good. All in all, a really enjoyable stay and we would have no hesitation in recommending it based on our experience.

A terrific break in North Devon.
Excellent service by Sarah on reception who provided us with an upgrade. Lovely room. Nice swimming pool (to ourselves) & steam room. Evening meal in the bistro was first class - the meal was excellent. The overall hotel facilities couldn’t have been better. This review sounds a bit ‘gushy’ but all I can say is that we both had a wonderful stay!

Lovely and clean. Unbeatable views from the hotel. Indoor pool is small but still nice and jacuzzi is great, perfect place to head to after a day walking!
