"The historic home was clean and well decorated, and the spacious property well maintained. Because of our early season visit to celebrate my wife’s milestone birthday, we unfortunately weren’t able to fully enjoy the outdoor amenities, but hope to return during a warmer time to get the full experience. The kitchen was well appointed and the bedrooms quite comfortable. The proprietor, Laure, was very generous, and accessible to answer all our questions. We would recommend this gem to anyone looking to spend time in the wine country of Virginia. "

"Enjoyed our stay in this cute and very clean cottage. We were in ground floor rental. There is also a rental on the 2nd floor. Separate parking spaces for each unit. Kitchen well stocked. Lots of thoughtful touches. Lovely property. Host very nice and helpful. "

"We absolutely loved our stay at Gruner Bungalow! The vacation started off well with a gift from the management team from the winery! The house is very clean, beautiful and spacious. We had several kids ages infant to 16 and there were spots for everyone to play and hang out. We cooked every day and the kitchen is very well stocked. Communication with the management team was also amazing. Not only were they flexible and accommodating but they were able to answer any and all questions in a quick timely fashion despite us staying during a holiday. They even brought us things we needed like a kettle and more trash bags. We didn’t feel the need to leave the property during our stay as everything we needed was there. We definitely want to stay again to use the outdoor pool and hope we can make this house our new years place going forward. Very highly recommend!! "
