The historic home was clean and well decorated, and the spacious property well maintained. Because of our early season visit to celebrate my wife’s milestone birthday, we unfortunately weren’t able to fully enjoy the outdoor amenities, but hope to return during a warmer time to get the full experience. The kitchen was well appointed and the bedrooms quite comfortable. The proprietor, Laure, was very generous, and accessible to answer all our questions. We would recommend this gem to anyone looking to spend time in the wine country of Virginia.
We had a wonderful stay at Tip of the Hill. The home and grounds are beautiful. The beds are very comfortable, and the shower is refreshing. We loved our mornings on the porch, and the evenings in the cozy den watching TV. The location was in good proximity to Old Luckett’s Store, Harper’s Ferry and Museum of the Shenandoah. We enjoyed wonderful local cuisine. Communication was great and we hope to return!
Lovely setting, perfect location to the wedding located just south of Round Hill. Enjoyed Purceville,.. went on short hikes / walks. Loved the bar be que place in town for lunch
Our group throughly enjoyed our stay on this beautiful property. From the outside seating area to the wonderful porch to the clean and adorable inside this property was wonderful! We hope to be able to stay here again in the future! The host was extremely responsive and answered questions as well as left lots of recommendations for wineries in the area.
very nice outdoor spaces including an outdoor fireplace and an outdoor shower that allows you to enjoy the trees while you shower. The inside is well appointed and clean and has lots of nice amenities and very nice kitchen gadgets
Tip of the hill was a great place to stay! All needs were met staying here. Laura was great and communicated well. We had family arrive from NYC, Maine, Arizona and Ohio. Great central location for Fall wedding nearby.
We stayed at Tip of the Hill throughout the duration of my son's wedding. Home is updated nicely while keeping its authenticity. No detail has been spared. Perfect spot for a pre-wedding outdoor brunch too for the guys.
The house was a perfect place for family to gather for our wedding weekend!

A great place to stay!!
Our stay at Tip of the Hill was very enjoyable. It was in close proximity to everything we needed and especially our wedding venue. We would recommend this VRBO to anyone who is looking for a quiet and peaceful location.
Our daughter's wedding was held at a beautiful venue in Leesburg. We were desiring a wonderful spot for us to stay before and after the wedding, including the "morning after" brunch. This home was warm, comfortable and inviting. Outdoor fireplace lends itself to great family gatherings. Most likely we will plan to stay here again whenever in the area.
This house was absolutely gorgeous on the inside, but the grounds were next level! The outdoor amenities were amazing, we spent most of our time by the fireplace. The landscaping was meticulously cared for and we visited at the right time to see the new blooms. Laure was very responsive. 5 stars!
I really enjoyed my stay at Tip of the Hill. It was a great location, only a couple of miles from downtown Purcellville and about 10 to 15 minutes from a bunch of local breweries. The house bathroom and kitchen were nicely renovated. The outdoor patio was awesome, we were outside for most of our stay. I had some minor nitpicks, the gas grill's lighter didnt work so you had to light it manually and the air conditioning downstairs didnt match the temperature upstairs (I'm not sure if we missed a downstairs thermostat or not). The house is also situated very close to the main road so its not as secluded as you might think. I still loved the house and I would definitely would like to come back!
We booked this property for a weekend to celebrate my son - was a very nice experience. The house is just as cute in person. Stairs were tough and floors were a bit creaky, but that’s to be expected with a historic home. Closer to the road than it looked on Google maps, but still a nice experience overall.
Loved this property and thought it would be a perfect place for my daughter and her bridal party to stay the night before her wedding and for my husband and I to stay after the wedding itself. It did not disappoint! The house and property is so beautiful, so peaceful and had everything we needed. There was plenty of space to get hair and makeup done and so many opportunities for amazing wedding prep pics. Every room, every outdoor space ... amazing. The owner was so kind to allow us to check in early which gave us plenty of time to get ready for pre-wedding events. Purcellville is such a delightful city. Be sure to stay here though! Highly recommend!
We very much enjoyed our stay, especially the patio and outdoor areas. We loved being able to gather together in such a beautiful place for my daughters bridal shower.
My family and I stayed during my wedding weekend to have a “home base” between the various events. The house was incredibly quaint, clean and well appointed. The beds were all very comfortable and we enjoyed time outdoors on the amazing patio! Thank you, Laure!
My family and I had a fantastic stay at the Tip of the Hill! We had a family wedding in Middleburg and needed a place to stay. This property is perfect for either indoor or outdoor living - we utilized the front porch or back patio each morning relaxing, drinking our coffee and host provided us with everything we needed. Looking forward to coming back!
