LOCATION \*Shellharbour is 1 1/2 hours south of Sydney, situated just north of Kiama. \*It is a small waterfront village with lots of shops and outdoor cafes and restaurants. There is a boat harbour for launching boats, and breakwaters for fishing, and the new Shell Cove Yacht Marina, shops and Tavern at the other end of our street opening 2022. \*There is plenty of shopping with large grocery and wonderful seafood market at Shellharbour Square, just 8 minutes drive away. \*There is an olympic size salt water rock pool, also just a short walk from the house. \*For those without a car, it is easy to take the train from Sydney Central to Shellharbour Junction (just 6 minutes in a taxi). Some of the Clubs in the area provide free transport in the evening for dinner etc. LOCAL ATTRACTIONS \*Apart from the swimming and fishing, there are famous surf beaches nearby at The Farm as well as great scuba diving at Bass Point, just 5 minutes down the road. \*There is a boat harbour only 5 minutes around the corner, for launching a boat, and plenty of off street parking for a boat. \*The closest supermarket is Woolworths in Shell Cove. \*There is a small local IGA supermarket, but Shellharbour Square is a very large shopping centre, only 10 minutes drive away. They also have a wonderful fish market, definately worth a look if you enjoy seafood. \*For some sightseeing further afield, Berry, Minnamurra Falls, Kiama Blow Hole, "Babe" country, Jamberoo Fun Park and the Southern Highland towns of Bowral and Robertson make a lovely days outing. PLEASE NOTE THAT WE HAVE A NO NOISY PARTY POLICY. The house is in a quiet neighbourhood, with permanent neighbours, so no "bucks" party or "schoolies" bookings accepted. We loved the walking tracks and not having to take the car out once. The house was as per the images and a very casual setting. It wasn't as clean as we are used to and felt it was a little overpriced for the furnishings. A new bed in the main bedroom (front room) is needed as you hear the springs popping as you move. One of the best things about this house is while it has great beach access it is very private…something that all the massive new ‘fence to fence’ houses have sacrificed The house is a little old but maybe that’s a good thing… ##### Lewis M. It was well presented and well equipped. For Winter, the lounge area was the perfect suntrap.Always important, the shower was hot and the bed firm.Check in was great and ongoing information from the owner was really helpful.Our pooches had a lovely time sunning themselves on the deck. ##### Sue B. A clean and tidy holiday cottage which was well appointed with anything you need for either a short or long term stay. A convenient location, being a short stroll to the beach, nearby ocean pool (including a covered toddlers pool) and main street with a variety of food offerings.
