*11am CHECK IN and 1pm CHECKOUT is mostly available outside holidays on condition of availability dependant on other bookings. (Confirmation week prior to booking. Otherwise it's the usual timings.)
*The house consists of 3 bedrooms, 1 bathroom, kitchen and dining area and a lounge area and outside deck and pergola. The main bedroom and 2nd bedrooms have a Queen bed. The 3rd bedroom, (semi-private) Kids Room, has 2 Single beds and Bunks.
*All the lower beds, 2 queens and 3 singles, and made up for you with FRESH LINEN AND TOWELS. Doonas, pillows and extra blankets are provided, as well as some electric blankets on the Queen beds. (Please note that the top single bunk is NOT included in this arrangement. Linen is be available for the top bunk if 8 people are booked.)
*Please BYO: Beach towels and beach shade.
*The laundry is outside with washing machine and an extra "tropical" shower and toilet, perfect for after the beach. The kitchen has dishwasher and all cooking facilities. There is usually a small supply of tea, sugar, salt, pepper, tomato sauce, flour, oil, dishwashing liquid, teatowels etc in the kitchen. *The lounge seats 8 comfortably in LOUNGE CHAIRS with TV, WiFi and DVD. There are books and some games and DVD's provided. We also provide some beach chairs, banana lounges and boogy boards. *There is a FIRE PIT, with provision of firestarters, kindling and some logs, but wood supply cannot be guaranteed, so please byo some logs if you want a lot of fires. *We have REVERSE CYCLE AIR CON, plus heaters and some electric blankets in the winter and floor fans in the summer, so you have the choice for perfect temperatures, summer and winter. *Try out the new Shell Cove Golf Course and Tavern for golf and dinner. Our best recommendation. *Also try the newly opened Waterfront Tavern in Shell Cove with cafes, restaurants etc. **Maximum permitted on the property is 8 people including children. No schoolies, no parties, no functions, no bucks nights on the property. *This is a tranquil place to unwind for a family or friends get together, with neighbours homes next door. *Small/medium size DOG is permitted.
LOCATION *Shellharbour is 1 1/2 hours south of Sydney, situated just north of Kiama. *It is a small waterfront village with lots of shops and outdoor cafes and restaurants. There is a boat harbour for launching boats, and breakwaters for fishing, and the new Shell Cove Yacht Marina, shops and Tavern at the other end of our street opening 2022. *There is plenty of shopping with large grocery and wonderful seafood market at Shellharbour Square, just 8 minutes drive away. *There is an olympic size salt water rock pool, also just a short walk from the house. *For those without a car, it is easy to take the train from Sydney Central to Shellharbour Junction (just 6 minutes in a taxi). Some of the Clubs in the area provide free transport in the evening for dinner etc.
LOCAL ATTRACTIONS *Apart from the swimming and fishing, there are famous surf beaches nearby at The Farm as well as great scuba diving at Bass Point, just 5 minutes down the road. *There is a boat harbour only 5 minutes around the corner, for launching a boat, and plenty of off street parking for a boat. *The closest supermarket is Woolworths in Shell Cove. *There is a small local IGA supermarket, but Shellharbour Square is a very large shopping centre, only 10 minutes drive away. They also have a wonderful fish market, definately worth a look if you enjoy seafood. *For some sightseeing further afield, Berry, Minnamurra Falls, Kiama Blow Hole, "Babe" country, Jamberoo Fun Park and the Southern Highland towns of Bowral and Robertson make a lovely days outing.
PLEASE NOTE THAT WE HAVE A NO NOISY PARTY POLICY. The house is in a quiet neighbourhood, with permanent neighbours, so no "bucks" party or "schoolies" bookings accepted. We are best suited to families or just a few friends having a nice week away at the beach.

Great location. Directly opposite access to the beach and flags. Easy walk to cafes, hotel & restaurants. Loved the individuality of the property - styling, etc. Also a great setup for our little dog.
Great little beach house, well-appointed with comfy beds and relaxed vibes. This our second family holiday with our pup and it was just as chill as last time.
Our stay at the Shellharbour Cottage was fantastic, it’s right next to the beach and perfect for the family. Property was clean and tidy with all the amenities needed.
Rae (owner) was easy to deal with and checking in/out was a breeze.

We were a family of 6 celebrating a birthday. The house was as described and worked well for our group. The closeness of the beach and walking distance to Shellharbour were big pluses.
Shell Cove is a lovely spot to spend time with family, the new Waterfront Tavern has great food and the beach is directly across the carpark from the property.

Communication with the owner was easy and friendly.
Great location so nice to walk to everywhere. We loved the walking tracks and not having to take the car out once. The house was as per the images and a very casual setting. It wasn't as clean as we are used to and felt it was a little overpriced for the furnishings. A new bed in the main bedroom (front room) is needed as you hear the springs popping as you move. Overall very relaxing place.
Interesting location despite a very developed area
in between old town and new town…might be a good spot for parents with self sufficient children given beach access and patrolled beach…I recommend old town…stayed with 2 pets so couldn’t do take up what looked like interesting restaurants…suggest andaman thai …take away sitting in one of the covered booths on the water front … need to improvise with glasses if you’d like a wine but Andaman were able to help out ….
One of the best things about this house is while it has great beach access it is very private…something that all the massive new ‘fence to fence’ houses have sacrificed

Lovely Beach Cottage close to everything.Light, and airy. Great outdoor entertainment area.Perfect for a beach get away.Great communication with owner and history of the cottage throughout the walls.Would definitely recommend!
Lovely beach cottage in a great location. All you need for a comfortable, quiet and cosy stay. 1 minute walk to the beach and a few minutes to shops and restaurants. A short drive to the new Marina complex.

Excellent Property
Our stay in this lovely well cared for home was fantastic. Great location close to everything that you need,shops hotel and for us the Golf Course.This home is ideal for families and has all the comforts of home and is situated very close to beach access which was great for those nice walks on the beach.We had a very comfortable stay.Would stay here again.
