it was hard to find the driveway to the parking which was off a little alley in the next street around the corner, but it was dark and raining hard when I arrived. the staff were very nice, polite and helpful. I think it's been renovated since last people posted. Give them a break, it's a hotel, not the Ritz. the whole place was clean and actually had nice decor. of course there is noise at night - it's a pub. it's a good price. if you travel, you need noise cancelling ear muffs. it's on a main street, but they put in double glazing on the windows to help cancel the noise. the door downstairs locked. I felt safe there. factor in that a lot of people only make a comment if they want to complain and some of those are just on a power trip and like bringing people down.
