The hosts arrange tours of the line and enthusiastically suggest walks and activities around Lappeenranta. The walk from the house to the lake Myllylampi was beautiful and alive with birds. "Room was unclean on arrival. Door required a special manoeuvre to unlock which was a real fire risk as the room windows don’t open. We reported both to reception, but were greeted by a shrug of the soldiers and some story about renewing the cleaning contract at the end of the season. Breakfast was cold meat and cheese with watered down orange juice and just the one toaster. Some staff were helpful but others weren’t. Whilst offering fishing, the staff didn’t know how to obtain the 2 Euro per day...

"We came from the US to visit a family member, this is our 2nd year in a row staying here and we love it. The price is amazing for what you get, we stayed in the Villas and the apartment was very nice. The staff have always been so nice and the area is just beautiful. The Imatran Koski is a definite must see! We are at O’Learys and had the same waiter both trips, and he was amazing. Very friendly and knowledgeable of the menu, made us feel very welcome and the food was really good. We will definitely stay here for future visits. "
