Tenaya at Yosemite
10/10 Excellent
"I LOVE this hotel…….. best hotel I have ever stayed in…… and I’ve stayed in hotels all over the world. The staff are friendly, the ambience is second to none, the interior is unique and lovely and the facilities are great. The bedroom is just like any nice hotel (so great) but I love the location and, even better, they have free activities for kids ….. archery, climbing wall, gold panning (we didn’t get to do this) and toasting marshmallows. I already thought it was great from a previous visit here but then I returned and these activities were just the icing on the cake. "
"We loved the proximity to Yosemite National Park, the kindness of the staff, and the river outside the room.
The property offers many amenities, some which we did not use (gym, laundry, game room).
Our room was spacious with a king bed, pullout couch, kitchenette, massive jacuzzi in the bathroom, and a patio by an outdoor jacuzzi and the river - really nice set up (bonus, there was plenty of room to roll out my yoga mat either inside or on the patio). The property is older feeling with some updates, like granite countertops in the bathroom. I found that the jets of the in-room jacuzzi were much more powerful than the outdoor jacuzzi by the pool.
While the burners in our kitchenette did not heat well, overall we enjoyed the room very much.
We got pizza one night and food from the restaurant another night. They were both fine.
We would have benefited from an actual latte w/ oat milk available on the property; they only offer drip coffee. Surprisingly, “base camp”, inside the park, has a Starbucks (latte need met).
WiFi is a touch spotty, but not enough to be a bother.
This was a comfortable place to rest while enjoying the splendor of Yosemite National Park.

"The room was clean and comfortable, check in and checkout was easy, parking was easy, no noise issue, though it would be nice if they provided breakfast"
"The property was amazing! The instructions provided for check-in were very detailed and useful. We enjoyed walking around in the morning saying hi to the horses and donkeys. We especially enjoyed going to the deck above to watch the stars at night. We will definitely be back!"
"The staff was extremely helpful to my husband traveling alone who had a medical issue. They were kind and understanding and able to reassure me in this setting. After a great night's sleep and hydration, he was able to continue his trip without further issues. Thank you from his family."
"Friendly and helpful staff. Lovely room and comfortable. You can request your room to be serviced if you like which is an opt in rather than out, which is great for the environment etc. Would definitely stay again. Breakfast was good, plenty of options to choose from."
Enjoy the mountain views and explore Wawona Visitor Center, a lovely green space in Wawona. Amble around the area's riverfront or seek out the hiking trails.
