Sleeping just two guests, the one-bedroom cottage also welcomes four-legged friends who might be just as eager as you to hike across the picturesque fells of the national park. Enjoy the convenience of the setting, with shops and eateries within easy reach. Stroll approximately 1 mile to find yourselves on the shores of picturesque Windermere. Take in the spectacular views from Queen Adelaide's Hill, also 1 mile away. Here you can also pick up a circular 3-mile walk taking you through some magnificent scenery. Climb up to scenic Orrest Head, 1 mile away. Venturing 1 mile in another direction will take you down to Bowness-on-Windermere, where you can take a ferry out across the lake or hop onto a cruise. Those preferring to strike out on their own can also hire rowing and motorboats.


Arrive back at the white-washed cottage exhausted but exhilarated after your latest fell climb or hill walk. Step inside to find yourselves in a welcoming lounge, with a gorgeous slate floor and a feature fireplace. Open the door to the garden in the summer months to bring the sunshine pouring in. Sit back onto the comfortable sofas to discuss the day, open your holiday novels or flick through the channels on the Smart TV. Head into the adjoining kitchen/diner to rustle up the next romantic feast. This space encompasses all the equipment and accessories you will need. There is also a table where you can set up your candle-lit dinners. Climb the winding, cottage-style staircase to the first floor where your restful king-size bedroom is situated. The bathroom, where you can choose whether to soak in the tub or rinse under the shower, is also up here.


Meander out into the sunshine to enjoy the best of the summer from the privacy of your pretty garden. Watch the squirrels frolic in the branches as you relax on the patio. Parking for this cottage is on the street, subject to availability.
