"We loved the location, central to everything. Most of all the front desk staff and managers., They were so attentive & kind. We had some things we need to get for our son, they made it happen. Above and beyond. We’ve stayed at many hotel across our travels. This was one of the best guest care we received. Bravo. Amazing team. Thank you for a Wonderful stay. Room was very clean. The roof top patio area was lovely. Fantastic breakfast. Look forward to return next summer. 10/10 property. We thank you❤️"

"The good: Very comfortable bed and very clean bathtub. Convenient location to walk to the Citadel or the waterfront. Conveniently attached to the Tempo restaurant and Boston Pizza. Not so good: the place badly needs maintenance and a facelift. In our room the curtain valance was detached in one place, wallpaper was torn in several places, and the A/C ceiling vent dripped water."

"An excellent hotel located below The Citadel, with a superior attached restaurant Gio. Food was imaginative, as were the drinks, and the staff excellent. Our king room was well appointed, with plenty of room and two armchairs. We enjoyed the ala carte breakfast, happy hour, and dinner at Gio. The housekeeping staff were top notch too. Location is walkable to the waterfront, and a somewhat longer but pleasant walk to the terrific Canadian Museum of Immigration at Pier 21. Parking in the basement of the hotel is fine for a smaller car. We had a Jetta and it was a little tight. Could be a somewhat challenging for a larger SUV, but the hotel also offers valet parking. Definitely a great stay, and one we would repeat on our next visit to this lovely city."

Amazing Unique Church for rent - St. Cecilia by the Sea

"We booked St Cecilia for 3 months July through September. I am in end stage heart failure so I was looking forward to seeing and having an exceptional experience. Brett and Lara have such a place. The church itself has been beautifully restored and in fact is better than the original church. The interior is amazing beyond what we expected. I love to cook and the kitchen has everything from utensils to dishes to appliances. I brought a lot of cooking things with us but never had to use them because everything was already there. The bedrooms are very nice and the beds are as comfortable as we have at home. There’s a large television and Lara helped us set up our own profile to watch our favorite shows. All linens were very good quality and plentiful. There’s washer and dryer were a great plus. The location of the church is great. The outside patio has a wonderful view of Purcell Cove. The location itself is very convenient for sightseeing the area. Several walking trails are nearby and all were excellent.Lara and Brett are wonderful hosts. Their entire family has been involved in making St Cecilia a great destination. I want to thank them for exceeding my expectations and treating us like family."

"Conveniently located for the reasons I was in Halifax. Room was extremely clean and well-maintained as was the Bathroom. Quiet; Children living on floor above but their noise was minimal and normal for kids. All was quiet after their bedtime!! Walkway to the private entrance at the back of the house was grass and ground uneven. The weather was sunny & warm during my stay, so was not a problem. Had it been rainy or winter conditions, it would have been slippery."
