The location is unbeatable—right near all the best restaurants and the waterfront. The space is full of character and charm, and the self check-in was incredibly convenient for our late arrival after dinner. It felt great to stay somewhere that felt so local and 100% locally-owned. Excellent value for a quick trip, friendly service, and a truly welcoming place to call home for the night while in the city. Especially loved the exposed beams in the traditional dormer overlooking the lieutenant Governors mansion. Extra special for myself as my grandfather was once the Lieutenant Governor of Nova Scotia, so it was really cool to stay in a room overlooking his former residence. Bathroom was clean and appealing except for some dust around the mirror casing. Rug in room appeared relatively clean except for some dirt around the door entry. Mouse traps were probably necessary but a bit unnerving! Self check in and check out was a surprise. Cold night so room was cold upon arrival and took some time to heat up especially the furniture. Pros: downtown location, free parking, microwave, kettle, drip coffee maker, toaster, glasses and cups in the room.
