Grand Canyon & Route 66: Historic Williams Getaway

  • Step into our comfortable and inviting historic home, built in the 1900s. Located in the historic residential district of scenic Williams, Arizona, off nostalgic Route 66. Within walking distance to the Grand Canyon Railway and downtown Williams. Our home features antique furnishings and historic era items, comfortably sleeping 8 guests in 3 bedrooms: one with a queen bed, one with a full bed, and one with two twin beds. The living room also has a queen-size pull-out sofa bed. The property features two full baths stocked with towels and basic amenities. The kitchen is fully equipped with basic and small appliances, pantry staples, complete place settings, silverware, and cookware. Enjoy a comfortable living room and dining area, plus a small office with a library featuring books and information on the Grand Canyon, historical Williams, Route 66, Arizona, and the Wild West.
    Our home features an inviting veranda and front porch, perfect for watching stunning Arizona sunsets and spectacular, starry moonlit nights. The back patio includes an outdoor propane grill and chiminea for cozy fires. We are just 55 minutes from the breathtaking Grand Canyon. Williams is home to the Grand Canyon Railway and the winter Polar Express (November-January). Explore Oak Creek Canyon and Sedona (60 minutes away), or discover the Grand Canyon Caverns (60 miles east). Visit the Hopi and Navajo Nations (50 minutes away) for Native American arts, crafts, and ancient ruins.

The house was clean. The property manager was quick to respond and easy to work with. It is an older property but well maintained. It is a pretty historic area. Very convenient to downtown. Seemed to be priced around other properties in the area. Perfect for exploring the town and area.

Great holiday trip

Great trip the house was very charming, clean, and comfortable. We were in town to go on the polar express and it is an easy walk into town to the train station, shops, and restaurants. Wonderful way to spend the holidays would definitely stay again!

Great place in Williams. We spent Christmas in this ole house and enjoyed the location. It was close to the train and downtown area. We found it very clean. I liked that the tables were cleared off, to set our own belongings. The decor matched the location. Very quaint. We could not navigate the TV. But that turned out to be a positive. Instead, we played games and found a trivia book. More family interaction!

Perfect Getaway

Perfect place to stay when visiting Williams or Grand Canyon. Close enough to walk to downtown, but still quiet and peaceful. The house was very clean and comfortable, fully stocked kitchen, and a nice private back yard area with a BBQ. Easy check in and check out process and great communication from owners, highly recommend, Thanks so much!

Budget friendly vacation home

The house was clean and kitchen and bathroom were stuffed with essentials. Nothing fancy but It is a pretty decent house. We were comfortable and had a good rest after tiring day in the grand canyon.

A Great Basecamp for All of Northern Arizona

Stayed for several nights with some friends. The house brought back many great memories, and we could use it as a base camp for visiting many Northern Arizona attractions. The board games, and especially the domino set, was a great way to pass time in the evenings. I'll definitely stay again on my next trip to Williams.

Recreational Trip

The property was conveniently located in Williams. The gas wall heater did not keep the property warm. The bedrooms did not have heat! The kitchen was sparsely supplied with worn out utensils and pots/pans. Disappointed with a single sheet on a double bed! No vacuum or broom available for cleaning! No outdoor grill!

Great location to explore the area

Overall, had a great stay and would recommend it. The house is in a quite neighborhood walkable to things in Williams. The layout was great for our family of 5 with 3 younger kids. The house was very clean with everything we needed and we appreciated the little things (like frosted mugs in the freezer and toys/games :). Things that might be helpful for others to know - the house is well-maintained but old so all the things that come with that (creaky floors, noisy doors, etc.). There isn't central air so the two outer bedrooms (those without the twins) and bathrooms got chilly (but were fine even with cold Dec nights with blankets). The middle room (with twins) actually got very warm. They warn the water pressure is low and IT WAS (we only tried one shower). The rooms (except master) have very light curtains or blinds so get very light in the morning. The train whistle woke our kids up in the mornings - probably an issue everywhere in Williams. The kitchen was basically stocked but had everything we needed to make a few meals. We really appreciated the stainless steel cookware - nonstick in rentals is always in such bad shape we hate using it.

We had a fantastic stay at this Vrbo in Williams! The home was clean, comfortable, and exactly as described. It had everything we needed, and the location was perfect for exploring the area while still being peaceful and relaxing. The check-in process was easy, and the hosts were responsive and welcoming. We really enjoyed our time here and would definitely stay again. Highly recommend this property to anyone visiting Williams!

Property was very good, house had vintage touch. Everything was well thought and planned with guest comfort in mind. Kitchen was big and well equipped with necessary appliances. Communication with host was easy and prompt. Instructions were given well in advance. We visited with our family with kids, they enjoyed their stay. Town had welcoming vibes and people were super nice. We did Grand canyon for 2 days highly recommend using park shuttle service for easy and hassle free sight seeing points. Local restaurants tried Nancy tacos, it has very good authentic mexican food. Overall had awesome time.

This property is awesome. It is very charming and really clean. It had everything we needed. The neighborhood is quiet and peaceful. It is a very short walk to the main street where all of the shops, restaurants and bars are located. My family and I had such a wonderful time in Williams. We can't wait to visit again.
