"Charming, family run hotel in a quiet section of Plauen, close to the city center. Breakfast included and really good. Staff helpful. Owner kind enough to sell me a beer even though restaurant had closed. She found me a charger for my IPad, Room was small but comfortable, clean and priced well. "This hotel was more "western" in the room size and overall expanse. We used the hotel as a base to search neighboring towns for genealogical clues to my fathers relatives. Nice big room and bathroom. Delicious breakfast (and dinner one night). Paid parking was onsite and convenient. The showerhead was in rough shape, but it was the weekend and I guess the maintenance staff wasn't available, as it didn't get fixed. Nonetheless, a perfectly enjoyable hotel stay."

"We really enjoyed our stay on the castle property! The rooms were very clean, service was attentive and prompt, and access was easy. The castle exterior is impressive and has been well-kept. The castle interior is now more of an exhibition space than anything resembling castle quarters or museum. But again, that is the castle. The hotel rooms themselves were ornate, clean, and beds were comfortable. We reserved one of the bridal suites, so we had an abundance of space. Overall, it was an excellent value for money spent. Oh - and the breakfast was impressive! Eggs, bacon, breads, lots of fruit, and excellent coffee/cappuccino (of course!). Delicious! And the dining hall felt very much like it was part of a castle... a fun experience. Thank you!!! If we are ever in the region again I would not hesitate to stay at Wasserschloss Klaffenbach hotel. :-) -Andrew Braun"
