Ireby is right on the border of the Lake District National Park, in fact the border crosses about twenty steps from the door! From here you have lovely walks and cycle routes nearby. We loved our stay at Saddlers Cottage. It was spotlessly clean and we were greeted by a very thoughtful and generous welcome pack on arrival. It's a lovely, spacious cottage and had plenty of room for me, my husband and our 4 girls. We loved exploring the surrounding areas and enjoyed our evenings in the cottage playing games in front of the fire. We had a lovely stay at Old Saddlers Cottage. A very homely cottage with plenty of space and everything you need. Check out Woodlands Country House, on a Tuesday for a fish and chip supper. Which is just 5 min walk away. The cottage is a perfect base to explore the Lake District.
