    Bathroom: Bath, Cubicle Shower, Toilet. Air source heat pump central heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi included. Initial logs for wood burner included. Welcome pack and doggy extras.. Enclosed lawned garden with sitting-out area and garden furniture. Private parking for 2 cars. No smoking.. Townend Cottage provides a beautifully presented and spacious cottage with a garden room/dining room overlooking the enclosed garden. Sit and enjoy the sunshine whilst having breakfast, and for those colder nights, cosy up by the wood burner in the comfortable living room - the best of both worlds. The property is decorated with a Christmas theme during the festive season.

    Quietly situated in this small farming village of Wiggonby, this semi-detached house is within easy reach of both Wigton and Carlisle, making it an ideal base to relax in or visit the many attractions nearby, with Watchtree nature reserve next to village. The Lake District National Park is within a 30-minute drive giving you access to the many fells for which the area is famous. If something more relaxing is what you are after, then why not take a boat trip on Derwentwater or Lake Windermere and sit back and enjoy the view? If you prefer the coastline, a 30-minute drive will take you to Allonby beach, a superb, long sandy beach in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty on the Solway Coast, with spectacular views across the Solway Firth to the mountains of southern Scotland. The market towns of Cockermouth and Keswick are well worth a visit too! At Townend Cottage you will be spoilt for choice for what to do in the area. Beach 16½ miles. Shop, pub and restaurant 2 miles.

Townsend cottage was very clean with plenty of equipment for your self catering needs.

Townsend cottage was very clean with plenty of equipment for your self catering needs. Suzie and Stuart the owners live next door were very welcoming and helpful with local knowledge. There are places to visit within a 30minute drive eg. Keswick, Gretna, Caledonia shopping outlet centre. Silloth for a nice walk along the prom.
