STAYING AT MICHILLINDA IS PARADISE! TO HEAR THE LAPPING OF THE WAVES OF LAKE MICHIGAN AND THE WIND WHISTLING THROUGH THE TREES IS SO ZEN AND SO DELIGHTFUL!!! ALMOST EVERY UNIT HAS A DIRECT VIEW OF AND/OR OVERLOOKS THE LAKE. THERE ARE CHARMING ACCOMMODATIONS WITH MANY DIFFERENT CONFIGURATIONS! THE STAFF IS FABULOUS ~ EXTREMELY COMPETENT AND SO HELPFUL, FRIENDLY, & PLEASANT. THE GROUNDS ARE TENDERLY TENDED TO UTMOST PERFECTION; OFFERING MANY VARIETIES OF SENTINEL TREES, FLOWERING BUSHES, SHRUBS, AND FLOWERS! A TRUE OASIS. HARD TO LEAVE!

This property far exceeded my expectations, it has beautiful views, a small swimming beach, sand dunes for viewing, a clean pool, sitting areas with lake views, and overall spacious. Can’t wait to stay again!

Very relaxing and peaceful
This place is not a 5-star upscale hotel. But, if you have found this place, then you know that is not what you are looking for! We stayed in Annex 29 which is on the 3rd floor of the Annex building. They do not have an elevator so be prepared for the stairs. The one attached picture was the view out of our larger room. That is why you are staying here! Also, there were no TVs inside our suite. Just the more reason to go outside! (I do not know if the cabins had TVs or not.) If you opt for the individual cabins, it did not look like you would have to deal with stairs at all. The other picture was from their deck at sunset. It was very peaceful and relaxing. The entry road is lined with tall trees and just sets the mood. The grounds are beautiful and well maintained. They have plenty of outdoor activities along with an outdoor pool.

Awesome place!
What an awesome location! Beautiful views just steps away from our room! We stayed in the chalet- it was quiet & comfy. Plenty of space for 4 adults + 2 teens. One bed was not so comfy- sank right in. 2 small bathrooms, 2 small coffee pots (w/ coffee/cups/creamer provided), & 2 little fridges. Outdoor steps had a couple areas that looked like they needed some attention soon. Staff was great. Super easy checkin/out. They have so many things to do- tennis, pool, playground, volleyball, basketball, etc. Charcoal grills available & 1st floor of chalet is a public kitchen & gaming area open on weekends. It is very noisy upstairs in the chalet when people are coming/going or playing pool. Wood fire pizza guy comes on Wed. $12 for a pizza. There was also a cornhole tourn. We walked over to nearby Duck market a lot thru a little path in the woods. They have about anything you’d need plus hot foods (chili dog, walking taco, breakfast sandwiches), & ice cream! There is a great deck overlooking water/sunset. Very peaceful & amazing sunsets! There was a small beach area now since water levels are currently low but it’s kinda rocky. I highly recommend nearby Duck Lake park! Met some other guests who have been coming back to stay every year for 20+ years! Can’t wait to go back!!

Really great place! Clean, comfortable, friendly, and outstanding sunset views over the Big Lake. A food/drink option on property would be great, and a partition on the shared balcony for privacy too, but overall this was a great stay!

Gorgeous property, clean and comfy rooms!
We had a one night stay with our family of four, and I wish we had booked at least one more just to spend a day on e property. This is a gorgeous spot next to Lake Michigan. It’s secluded yet close enough to town that you can go out for a nice meal and pick up any supplies you may need. The room was plenty big enough for us and our two young children with a walk out patio and excellent view of the lake. The room was exceptionally clean. The bed was very comfortable and the kids said they slept great on the pull out couch. The property is a gem, set back from the main road and the driveway lined with antique lanterns. Overall this was an exceptional place for our stay!

We’ve stayed at the Michillinda Lodge twice in the last few years and it’s a great and unique old property. Great views of Lake Michigan, great little covenience store (that has almost everything) within walking distance, close to golf and Whitehall/Montigue, and lots of family friendly activities. Our room was good - bathroom in our room was REALLY tight on toilet/shower placement and toilet seat was unsteady. This was a very minor issue in our room abd everything else was great!

Our first night was horrible We tried to go to sleep at 11 at night but there were people who worked there and stayed there we found out the next day above us that stayed up till like 1 in the morning Impossible to fall asleep The owners the next day moved us to a much quieter space The grounds are Beautiful Our daughters rented cabins E and F Our youngest daughter is in a wheelchair so cabin was accessible with ramp and she had her own personal ramps so good for her to get in and out of Beautiful for grandkids to play on playground Amenities were just right for An Awesome Weekend🙏💙

The lodge is beautiful and peaceful. It is super family-friendly! No TVs which means you're out doing activities and enjoying the beautiful setting. We did not want to leave! If we're ever on the westside of Michigan will definitely stay again.

Can't wait to go back!!!! It was a beautiful place to stay. Love the ability to be so comfortable and enjoy the nature. Plenty of places to experience. Nice amenities. Very clean! Near a market for snacks. My only request would be a way to access the walking area along the rocks.

Breathe taking views
Cabins are set in a beautiful setting. Needs a little updating but they are cabins. Loved all the activities that were included. The deck on the water is breathing taking and relaxing.

I'm coming again.
Great location. Beautiful grounds and cottage was so lovely. Walls are a little thin though, in the hillside. So many fun things for a family or sit by the lake and enjoy the view.

Room was extremely small and tight to get around. was unable to use coffeemaker. WiFi was nonexistent. No cellular service. Food was 10 miles away with very few choices. Nice property if you want to get away from it all.

Gorgeous view of Lake Michigan. The only downside was a lack of beachfront. But the frequency of monarch butterflies and beautiful views made up for it.

The location on Michigan's West coast right on Lake Michigan is absolutely stellar. The room was top-notch. The WiFi was solid, but I somehow missed that the room didn't contain a TV. It wasn't a big deal, but it's something to note. The messaging from the staff was clear and easy to understand, and we had a very nice stay.

Such a fun property. The grounds are impeccable. And having the pool and all the other activities right on site is so nice with kiddos. The 2 minute drive to Duck Lake/Lake Michigan makes it a great location as well.

Thank you for taking the time out to leave us a review. We have office staff on Monday - Friday 10am -5pm. Weekends hours in office are limited to 10am -3pm. But we also have a property manager that lives onsite and the phone number is on the door of office and all paperwork in key packet. There is also daily housekeeping staff and maintenance 7 days a week. I'm not sure what days you stayed that you would've missed any of the staff. unless you checked in after hours and checked out before 10am and only stayed one night perhaps. Here is a list of our amenities as well as having a refrigerator, microwave and coffee pot with supplies in the rooms, grills and a common room with a full kitchen.Michillinda Lodge Thank you for choosing us for your vacation needs, we hope your time with us is relaxing and enjoyable!!! Here is a list of amenities that we have here on our property: *Outdoor heated pool *Volleyball *Basketball *Shuffleboard *Tennis courts *Horseshoes *Disk Golf *Playground and sandbox *Grills and picnic tables for cooking out *Bonfire areas *Common area with a full kitchen( when not in use by events) *Free Wi-Fi- 5207resort Please bring your personal pool towel. The lake view and balcony we enjoyed very much. the floor in the bathroom had a slant so the toilet had a lean to it. I suspect there is some structural damage. I realize this property has been around for a century, and the grounds are beautiful. The stairway going up to the room was steep and narrow, so with our bad knees it was a little challenging. The room was very pleasant and clean. No TV, but it forced us to relax and read. Walls are thin, so we could hear the guests in the next room as if they were with us. There are many activities to enjoy and you can’t beat the beautiful scenery and proximity to the lake.

This is the second time staying at Michellinda and was once again very pleased. The location on Lake Michigan is ideal and very romantic. We felt very comfortable and safe in a place where you can plan a wedding or family reunions. The check in process was smooth and efficient. I highly recommend Michellinda for a relaxing fun and comfortable vacation or get together with friends and/or family.
