"Situated on a point with water on two sides of the expansive property, the setting was amazing. The house is a mid-century ranch that has been thoroughly updated. We had lousy weather, so we did not get to enjoy the large water-side deck and firepit, but even the indoor views of the water from the kitchen-den area were wonderful."

"We were sold on the rental because of its size, location, and pet friendliness. The hosts provided an immaculate, spacious, and attractive rental, complete with bedding and towels. The kitchen had all the necessities, including lots of flatware, mugs, glasses, plates, pots and pans. Dishwasher, coffee maker and Keurig were also provided. "We had a nice, comfortable stay in Mathews. Our daughter graduated from USCG BM A School in Yorktown, about 35min from this property. She stayed one night with us, along with my husband, my father in law, two teens and two dogs. The house is very dog friendly with supplies and a big yard. Clean, comfortable place to hang out! Awesome communication with host! Great breakfast at Howard-Dooley Cafe just a few minutes away."

"Long weekend to reconnect with my husband. This was perfect. We actually preferred to hang out at the cottage as opposed to going out. This cottage has some great personal touches. Heated bathroom floor and towel rack. Heated blanket. Beautiful electric fireplace in the bedroom. "This is a home away from home everything you need. You can hear the birds when you sit on the covered porch no trains or cars just peaceful and quiet. The decor is beautifully done. When you venture out Main Street has some great shoos and restaurants."

"The house was amazing, really well equipped. Great secluded location and still close to restaurants. The pool was a great temperature and big! Our son (7) loved the box of pool toys. The house is a great size could easily accommodate a large family with everyone having their own space, at the same time we were just a family of 4 and we didn’t feel like we were rattling around, the lounge was nice and cozy. "I met up with a good friend for a long weekend that immediately felt too short. The house is absolutely wonderful! Views galore. Total peace and tranquility. Very private. We just wanted to enjoy the cove, drink coffee by the water and enjoy excursions to Gloucester, Gwynn Island, and Mathews. The house was perfectly located but was wonderful just one its own. We hope to come back soon and take out the kayaks in the warmer weather."
