We had a great weekend in this beautiful home. It was even bigger than we expected, each room was tidy, and the kitchen was stocked with every utensil you could possibly need. The owner was also quick to respond when we had questions. We would definitely consider booking again in the future!
This house was perfect for a girls weekend. The house was clean, nicely decorated and had great views. The owner was prompt to answer all of my questions. We will definitely consider returning for the next time!
We so enjoyed staying in this luxurious, gorgeous home on the Rappahannock River. We loved that each bedroom was a master, and it made getting ready in the mornings so smooth. The huge windows and doors on the third floor gave us a fantastic view of the sunrises and sunsets. The firepit outside was such a relaxing place to unwind after a long day. We will definitely stay here again. 10/10!
Everything you want in a peaceful, waterfront getaway.
Clean; Beautiful views;Good bedroom to bathroom ratio;Well-appointed kitchen;Great water access;Quiet location;Easy check-in;Excellent communication with host.
The house was absolutely beautiful. The decorator did a phenomenal job with a peaceful vibe to the house. Rooms were large and the private bathroom for every guestroom was a really nice plus. The location at the point could not be beat with incredible views from the balconies and top (main) living space. The kitchen was well stocked with lots of space to cook and gather also some basic amenities to get you started. We spent all our time cooking, hanging out on the dock, or in the water. The beach space is really for getting in and out of the water - there is not a lot of room, enough to setup a couple of chairs but we found the dock easier and breezier. The kayaks looked brand new and were easy to carry. Hot tub was also in great shape. Everything about the house felt brand new. The host was very responsive anytime we reached out, great communication. Check-in was a breeze with an access code and the check-out process was just as simple. Loved our stay and plan to go back. This would be a great getaway anytime of the year to unplug. One tip: Bring some travel/beach chairs to set on the deck or dock. We had 8 adults.
My husband and I decided on a last-minute vacation to de-stress and unwind. Our only criteria was a hot tub with a water view and “Serenity on the Rappahannock” fit the bill perfectly! The home was clean, spacious, well stocked, and beautifully decorated. We enjoyed the decks for peaceful morning coffee and stunning sunsets. The water facing hot tub was perfect for relaxing! (There is a neighbor to the right so we hung a tarp for a little bit of privacy.) We also unexpectedly loved the nighttime dock fish lights and all the food chain activity they brought – so mesmerizing and fun to watch! We really appreciated the timely and thoughtful communication with host Trent. We took some time to explore a couple of the charming nearby towns, all about 15 minutes away. Some of our favorites: Waterfront dining at The Merrior Tasting Room in Topping and Willaby’s Café in White Stone. In Irvington, we loved the Red Fish Art Gallery (where all profits go to charity!) and dinner at The Office Bistro with good food and a fun vibe! Our relaxation continued in Kilmarnock with a massage at LaSource Spa and an incredible Sound Bowl Healing Session with (world-renowned classical singer!) Esther Heideman, thebowlmovement.com. Our favorite night was walking over to the Tiki Bar at Windmill Point (.03 miles) for cocktails and dinner at the outside bar. We had an incredible time in this lovely home and area and are already thinking about dates to return!
