Very well kept and well preserved period property in bethel. Delightful hosts John and Jeanette made us feel very welcome and nothing was too much trouble for them to endure our stay was perfect. I would highly recommend staying here if you’re visiting Bethel ME

When we booked this Inn it was a traditional accommodation but was then taken over by new people who changed the format. So rather than be greeted and have breakfast it changed to an inn where there would be no breakfast and you’d get a PIN number to enter before your stay. I don't usually review, but the Ballard was such a lovely experience! It's a beautiful, historic inn, and our room was comfortable, nicely furnished, and spotless. There are a couple of comfortable sitting rooms for the guests to use, and the view across the trees down to a lake from the veranda was lovely. Very friendly welcome and check-in with Bobbi-Sue. The room was excellent, beautiful views of the lake, comfortable and cosy furniture, just ideal location to chill out. Well placed to explore northern NH and the White Mountains.

We stayed in suite 1 with 2 rooms. The rooms are very comfortable and just perfect for our stay, and the price is reasonable. Christina and Troy are fantastic hosts. Will defintely return again!

What a great hotel. Very clear that the manager goes out of her way to be helpful - and the staff have learnt that approach as well. Not sure how old the hotel is but it feels very new. Room was big (king size bed) and had lots of drawer space with a small wardrobe for hanging (look behind the sliding door for the en suite). There's a mini fridge and microwave in the room.
