About this property

Absolute waterfront, private paradise. Native gardens, abundant bird life.

  • Absolute waterfront property set on 22 acres of native bush with landscaped native gardens on a very private beach. A peaceful valley filled with bird song and the sounds of the sea. A three level architecturally designed house with extensive decks, very open plan, rooftop spa, sea and bush views from all levels. Outdoor lounge and dining, bbq, hot out door shower. No visible neighbours. The Hideaway looks north to the Limerick Islands and Mimiwhangata Farm Park. Sheltered safe swimming beach. Kilometres of white sandy beaches at your door step, walk around the point for a surf, dive in the bay or fish off the rocks.

This place was a slice of kiwi heaven! The location is beautiful, perfect place to recover from life’s struggles. It’s isolated so you pretty much have the beach to yourselves.Also, having the spa is great for when the beach is a bit too chilly or after a cold dip.The owners are super friendly and accomodating as well, felt well taken care of. Thank you so much for a beautiful stay.

Relaxing getaway

The house and setting are fabulous. Well-equipped home with everything you could need- lovely linen on the beds for a great sleep, warm outdoor shower, rooftop spa, lots of deck areas with plenty of sun and shade zones, beautiful gardens and lots of bird life. The secluded beach is a short stroll down the garden path. Great communication from the host. We had a truly relaxing week away here. Would love to stay again!

Great place to get away!

We had a wonderful time at the property. Enjoyed our time together as a family immensely. Slippery tiles and wood when wet were a bit challenging for seniors, but nothing you couldn’t work around once you got the lay if the land.

Best place on earth

Total private beach, garden and bush are a piece of art and to top it all the spa and the beautiful house make you feel like you are on another planet. The owners are adorable and in sync with the nature lifestyle, you will never want to go back to civilisation ever. We returned for the 5th time and can’t wait to go back.

Incredible family holiday at Whananaki

This property is truly a hidden gem. Our holiday has so many special memories. The home catered for our family of 5 adults and 2 teenagers. It is so clean and well equipped. Bring all you need and enjoy as you will not want to leave. This property will stay in your memories for years. Karen was an amazing host and looked after our 'unexpected' needs. Another Week in Paradise

We are returning guests. We came with our family this year and everyone loved it. The house is super comfortable and the setting amongst the native garden is stunning. The beaches are pristine. The house is also totally private which is a major benefit for us. Karen and Jamie are great hosts and strike the right balance between being helpful and leaving us to it. Highly recommended.
