Gerard was excellent in communicating and checking in. The property is adorable and has all necessary items and then some.
Close to downtown Fairfield and shopping and restaurants.
Unfortunately due to unforeseen circumstances we had to cut our stay short, but Gerard was very accommodating and responsive during this process! The space is just as advertised and the workspace below is great!
We arrived later than the posted check in and Gerard and we spoke on the phone and everything went well. We felt like we were home. The apartment is all that it said in the ad were very accurate. Quaint, cozy and no hotel hassle. The next time we visit we will definitely look for this place!
I have to drive around all day for work so it’s nice to have dinner options that I can walk to. Studio had everything needed. Bed was comfortable. Would 100% recommend!
Perfect location, nicely supplied and appointed. Very clean and close to pretty much anything you could require. Back for my Moms funeral and the rental agency contacted us daily just to make sure our stay was trouble free, which it was. 5 stars! Won’t hesitate to stay here again!
We had a lovely stay in this adorable and comfortable studio while in town to visit family. It is beautifully decorated and has a lot of natural light. It is conveniently located on the Post Road close to everything but has a serene out in nature feeling to it. I loved stepping outside to see the beautiful scenes of deer grazing in the meadow behind the building.

This studio apartment is adorable, delightfully decorated, very comfortable and well equipped. Great location. Tons of history, beautifully renovated building. Gerard was incredibly responsive and helpful. We would give 10 stars if we could.
The studio apartment had everything we needed for our stay in Westport. It was a cozy, yet spacious, room with a smart TV and full kitchen. Gerard was an attentive host. Would highly recommend.
We stayed a few nights while in the area to see a concert at Hartford Healthcare Amphitheater. Great location, very easy on/off 95, many restaurants and shops in the area too. The studio was comfortable and very clean, the bedding and towels were so nice and luxurious ! A great place to rest and recharge, lots of windows and skylights to bring the outside in. Gerard was great to work with and genuinely cared about our stay from beginning to end.
Gerard was a great host with excellent communication, perhaps one of the most attentive that I’ve ever experienced. The rental is just as cute as the pictures and centrally located to wonderful restaurants and shopping. I made the assumption while booking that the small couch was a pullout, it is not. The reference to a twin bed is a blowup. There is everything you need to cook meals. Great stay!!
Very enjoyable weekend in Westport. This apartment is close to everything. It was large, spotless, had everything you may have forgotten and things you may haven’t even thought of bringing. Gerard was so quick to answer any question we had and so very nice. We wouldn’t hesitate in recommending his great apartment. You will not be disappointed.
Bright and charming . Gerard, the host was most attentive and available for an easy checkin and overall experience . The studio provided every item needed for a wonderful experience. There will be many future visits planned .
Gerard is amazing. Super nice and very responsive. The instructions and directions were sent to us in advance and always arrived at the perfect time. It’s a great studio apartment and is very comfortable and clean. An amazing beach is less than 10 mins away and the shopping and food in Westport is a 10!!
I really liked the space - it is very clean and no surprises per the photos. This is only an 8-10 minute drive to the village center, and an easy drive to some nearby parks. Also, there are several very good places to eat within a 10 minute walk or so.
It is right on a very busy road but, as others note, it quiets down by bedtime. I had all I needed - lots of light, several places to sit and work, and super clean.
The downstairs shared work space is really remarkable. I wish that I had been able to use it - I got a tour, and loved it.
Gerard is the most efficient communicator on vrbo (no offense to others), and checkiin to check-out was really easy and clear.
Cute and Cozy Studio, Perfect for a Couples Getaway!
My wife and I stayed in this cute apartment in Westport for a week. It was perfect for our trip as I worked remotely, and my wife worked nights nearby. The apartment has everything you need for a home away from home. The kitchen is perfect for meals for two. The area is spacious, with lovely decor and ambiance. The bed is super comfy memory foam. All of it makes for a great living space.
Below the apartment, you have access to the communal workspace, which is great for video meetings. The whole space is an old mill the owner converted. You can see the lovely river flowing from the workspace below. My only complaint is that the hot water did go quickly a couple of times, and the floor in spots is creaky, but everything overall was fantastic.
Gerard prioritizes guest comfort and is an excellent communicator. The Westport Studio is our second stay at one of his quality properties, the other was in Mystic Connecticut. We look forward to exploring more of his Great Gull, New England properties during our next trip along the East Coast.
The Westport Studio, Old Mill and the Mystic School House, are well-equipped for eating in, the beds comfortable and the linens are high-quality. It is such a pleasure when a host takes care to provide excellent amenities. The street noise at the Studio did not disturb us and the area quieted significantly by our early bedtime. We were also treated to seeing deer on the land outside the mill.
We were traveling with our son’s dog and discovered a fabulous off-leash walking spot nearby: Lake Mohegan. The trail is mostly shaded, dogs were well behaved and lots of opportunity for them to swim and play.
We highly recommend Great Gull properties.
