About this property
LAKEFRONT HARTWELL! Good dogs welcome! Covered dock, fire pit, kayaks!
Just 30 minutes from Clemson with private dock on deep, year-round water!
Walk up to the front door past the bistro set where you'll later enjoy a cup of coffee overlooking beautiful Lake Hartwell.
Inside on the main level you will find an open area combining a super comfortable sitting area with room for the whole family, and the dining area, with seating for six at the table, along with two bar stools at the breakfast bar. In the kitchen, you'll have everything you need, with a coffee pot, microwave, stove, and dishwasher. The side-by-side fridge makes ice quickly to keep your drinks cool on those hot days out at the lake.
But that's not what you came for, is it? Outside the sliders, you'll find a huge, screened-in porch with great views down to the LAKE. Two ceiling fans keep you cool when it's hot and there is plenty of seating for whatever you want to do, whether it be relaxing, eating, drinking, or even playing games. A three-burner Weber grill is just outside the porch to handle those tasty grill nights!
Back inside, you'll find stairs to a large loft that has a queen sleeper sofa and comfy chair, plus a game table, and a 43" TV. A couple ceiling fans make sure the temperature stays just right.
On the main level, down the hallway are the master bedroom with a king-size bed, and a second bedroom with queen. Both bedrooms have their own bathroom - one with a tub and one with an easy-access shower. All bathrooms have towels, hair dryers, and body wash.
Head downstairs to the HUGE rec room. There is a pool table and bar area on one side, with comfy furniture and a 60" TV on the other. Down the hallway here, you'll find a bathroom, the Cave (queen bedroom), the Bunker (two twin bunk beds), and the laundry room. In the hall closet, you will find a first aid kit, and some lake toys.
Back out to the rec room, you'll see two sliders giving you access to the covered patio, with another table and plenty of chairs for hanging out. You're also right above the firepit area, which is surrounded by hanging lights for the perfect ambience.
Travel down the mulch path to the floating dock with plenty of room to sit, swing, jump in the water, and park your boat. There are two tandem kayaks on the walkway, plus a single for kids or smaller adults - remember to wear your life vest; there are some in the dock box. There is room to park your boat in the slip with the lift, or on either side of the dock. The water is 15 feet deep at the end of the dock at full pool (660'), and the channel is a solid 25-27 feet all the way across. Bring your fishing rods and see what you can catch right off the dock.
You will also have access to the Foxwood Hills Clubhouse, which is only half a mile away. During the summer (Memorial Day to Labor Day), you can use the Olympic size pool. There are also tennis/pickleball courts, a basketball court, and a nice playground for little ones. If you don't feel like cooking, stop in Thursdays through Saturdays for dinner at the restaurant.
While we are out in the country a bit, you do have a convenience store five minutes away (less than 2 miles) for anything you need in a pickle - milk, bread, ice, firewood, gas, etc!
There is a gas station, Dollar General, liquor store (closed Sundays), and pizza place less than 15 minutes away on SC-11. You're also about 20 minutes from Seneca and 30 from Clemson.
There are some fabulous hiking trails with waterfalls in the area - be sure to check out Stumphouse Tunnel and Yellow Branch Falls!
Boat Info: We have a single slip dock with a swim platform. The slip has a lift, but you can also tie your boat up on either side of the dock. The closest boat ramp is the Choestoea Boat Ramp - 2.1 miles away by car and 3.4 miles by boat. There is plenty of room in the driveway/front yard to park your trailer. If you would like to rent a boat, we recommend Harbor Light Marina. It's 25 minutes away by car and takes about 30-40 minutes to boat back to the house.

We had a great time on the lake! House was big enough for everyone, the multiple living spaces were very convenient. Host was very responsive. Kids loved the lake toys and the lake was beautiful. We had a great week.
We enjoyed our stay very relaxing and quite. Beautiful home. Thanks for letting us stay in your home. Our daughter's fur babies enjoyed their stay also.
What a great place to stay if you have grandkids. We had teenagers and small children. Everyone enjoyed swimming on the lake, paddle boarding, and just relaxing! It was also very easy to bring the boat we rented to the house dock. Highly recommend!
Very nice house on the lake. Clean, well-equipped (coffee pods, towels, sheets, toilet paper, paper towels, plenty of kitchen cooking items, etc), comfortable beds, kayaks. They have a nice fire table on the deck that we enjoyed in the cool night air (ran out of propane while we were there so we ended up exchanging a tank so we could use the grill). Located about 35-40 min from Clemson area. Good communication from the owners. No problems encountered during our stay. Definitely recommend!
We enjoyed our Thanksgiving stay with our family and friends. Plenty of space to everyone to spread out and owners were always very prompt to return our questions. Quiet and peaceful neighborhood.
This property was great location for family to come and enjoy the lake. Plenty of room. The inside was very clean and had everything you needed for cooking as well. The outside we had to sweep the porches when we arrived.
Our family recently stayed at this beautiful home to celebrate our mom's 65th birthday, and it exceeded all of our expectations! The house was spacious and beautifully decorated, providing a perfect setting for our special occasion. We especially loved spending time on the lake, making great use of the provided kayaks and enjoying swimming together. It was truly a memorable stay, and we can't recommend this place enough for anyone looking for a relaxing and enjoyable getaway!"
We loved our stay at this home! Communication with Jay and Nicole was top notch and they took care of details we needed quickly and easily. We enjoyed a boat rental, evening s’mores, morning fires on the porch and lots of games in the game room(s)! Thank you for hosting us - we’d love to come back in the future!
Spacious house with plenty of room for our family of 8. The lake and dock were amazing and there was everything we needed to enjoy it! Home had so many amenities, from kayaks to extra pillows, and board games! Definitely recommend! Also, I would recommend stocking up on some necessary food staples at the grocery store, as it is a bit of a drive to restaurants.
Loved every second of being at this house, we didn’t even want to go anywhere else. Beautiful, spacious, clean house with some pretty amazing views. Having a lake in the back yard was so much fun as we went paddle boarding and kayaking every day, several times a day. We would definitely like to go back soon!l. The hosts are pretty amazing too! Thank you, thank you, to them!
3 families rented this house for our daughters' softball tournament in Toccoa. Great location relative to Toccoa softball fields (appx 20 minute drive that was super-easy). Beautiful lake lot and views! And the owners were so responsive throughout the booking process. We also accidentally left a hearing aid and shoes which they mailed back to us. Definitely will stay here again next year!
Lots of space. We even had a few people that had to work a day or two and had room to could get away. Nice area, easy walk to the dock, loved the pool. Enjoyed the screened porch. limited seating in the living room because the wicker was terribly uncomfortable.
House had most of what you would need. Lake and dock area supplied for water fun. Floates and kayaks were well used. Boat lift great. Walk to water ok going down. You get your exercise. Great house.
Amazing Lake Front Property-Clemson Family Weekend
We were in town for Clemson Family Weekend. This house was perfect for our family of 5. We all had plenty of room and had so much fun! We used the kayaks, jumped off the dock, and did some fishing. Playing pool and ping pong was also just what we all needed! We loved the back deck for coffee in the morning and the firepit for smores at night! Great home and great hosts! We would definitely come back and we do recommend this beautiful home!
Our family had a great time. We enjoyed the lake and the pool at the club house. Everyone enjoyed playing pool and ping pong downstairs. The trip was very peaceful and relaxing. We stayed on the screened in porch most of the time playing cards. The fire table was nice for doing s’mores. We had trouble with the internet going in and out.

Our Wonderful two week Family Vacation
Yes, all six of us enjoyed our two week stay. It sure was a vacation we will talk about forever. We had fun swimming with the rafts, your Kayak's and we rented a pontoon boat for three days the first week of our vacation as my Grandson was able to enjoy it along with the five of us, as he had only a week as had to return to work the second week.Thank you so very much for sharing your lovely home with us. Most sincerely, Mary Rosasco and Family.:)
The roller coaster ride to and from property is memorable. Lol. Loved the variety of different comfortable living spaces in home. Each one had a special family feel. Jay was very responsive to questions and requests. It was a quick but enjoyable Clemson weekend. 🐅
Our family enjoyed the yearly summer vacation at this lovely home. It was roomy for all of us with lots of different activities. My grandson loved fishing from the dock. My granddaughters enjoyed the kayaks. We were able to have s’mores around the fire pit. I loved sitting on the swing on the dock watching the sunset and the beauty of nature. The back porch is a great area to relax and read or play cards. The added bonus of the nearby pool was a big hit for all of us. We all had a very fun family vacation. Thanks Jay and Nicole!!
