Cold, Dreadful shower

Posted 04-Apr-2018
Pros: Central, relatively good value, efficient
Cons: The heating and water pressure
Clean and tidy, but cold and almost no water pressure on the 6th floor, which made having what should have been a nice hot shower a very cold experience.

Room was very small and extremely hot, tiu could not control this yourself as no thermostat. Staff were pleasant and very helpful. I would stay in the hotel again as location was good but would wxpect a bigger room for price.

Grand old style city centre hotel

Posted 03-Feb-2018
Pros: Good modern conversion and updating of a fine old building from a previous era.
Cons: Just minor décor improvements in bedrooms
Location: Very convenient for Leeds city centre, a 5 minute walk from the rail station. Close to shopping and eating amenities
I stayed one night at the Grand Met the night before a conference I was attending there. I was struck by the way in which a fine old building in the centre of Leeds has been tastefully modernised for the 21st century. I was warmly welcomed on arrival and very happy with my room on the third floor, which had a comfortable bed and excellent en suite bathroom. It was quiet at at all times. The hotel has spacious reception rooms, and the buffet breakfast was a very pleasant experience, with a good choice of hot and cold food, and friendly attention from the staff. The conference I attended there was very well planned and managed. Highly recommended.

Pleasant - but what's it called?

Posted 16-Jan-2018
Note that this seems to pass as the Met, the Leeds Met and various other things. Confusing when trying to find it on foot, as a colleague discovered.

Disappointing

Thought this would be a very good hotel as it was quite expensive £160ish. The lobby and bar was nice and decorated well but when we got to our room the décor was very tired. It look like someone had gone mad with silicon in the bathroom and the room was quite small, not really impressed at all.
