South Plateau Cabins - a Cozy, Beautiful Log Home near Yellowstone


  • Located in West Yellowstone, this clean, quiet and comfortable cabin is a perfect alternative to a basic hotel room. The 1600 sq ft log home is just a few blocks away from the west gate of Yellowstone National Park. It has one large bedroom upstairs with one king bed and two twin sized beds. There is a small partition but it's basically one room. The sleeper sofa in the living room has a quality queen sized air mattress inside.
    The cabin is well suited as a deluxe suite for couples looking for something unique and special while providing easy access into Yellowstone. It also rents great to small families up to six. In the winter season, we can set it up for 4 twins which fits 4 guys pretty well.

Lovely little cabin!

We stayed in this cabin while we were visiting Yellowstone and it was perfect for my husband and I. Great location in town and equipped with everything you need. Having a full kitchen was super nice, beds were comfy also!

Cozy cabin with perfect location for exploring!

We truly enjoyed our stay in this comfortable log cabin. Close to town and Yellowstone National Park. Host was very helpful and attentive to anything we needed. Great breakfast place a block away, too! Get there early though as they pack them in! Hope to come back for some more exploring.

Our family of 5 stayed here for 3 nights when we explored Yellowstone NP. It’s conveniently located to the west entrance yet it’s away from the busy stretch of road in town. So cozy and clean, and we especially loved the table on the back porch. Highly recommend.

We absolutely adored this sweet cabin! It’s in the perfect location, was incredibly clean and easy to find, and is on a great and quiet property. We loved this laid-back cabin that had it all. Comfy bed, a fully stocked kitchen, and was a great location. We brought our Can-Am UTV, and the location to the trails was perfect! West Yellowstone is a great, friendly little town, just outside the Yellowstone entrance. We had a wonderful time!

Everything about the cabin was wonderful! Everything inside was super clean and organized. The property was close to the west entrance of Yellowstone, but also super quiet. We only stayed for two nights, but wish we could have stayed longer. We didn't want to leave!

Family Vacation to Yellowstone

We had a wonderful stay at the South Plateau Cabin. It was clean and cozy and had everything we needed as a base camp after long days in the park. Just minutes away from the West entry gate, we were in the park within 10 minutes every morning. Justin was a very helpful host and we especially loved relaxing while having our breakfast and dinner on the back deck and admiring his beautiful garden. Already wishing we can come back soon!

Super Convenient Location

This spacious cabin was conveniently located and provided for quick and easy access to Yellowstone via the West Gate entrance. It is a brief walk to dinner and breakfast from the cabin as well as for shopping or ice cream. There is a cozy living room, large bathroom and generously sized sleeping area.

Wonderful location just right outside YNP

We brought our 9 year old grandson out with us and this cabin was ideal for our trip. Justin was so easy to communicate with by offering suggestions for restaurants, etc. The cabin was perfect for grilling and cooking our own meals when we chose to do so. We used the drop off laundry facility across the street and our laundry was ready the next day. Highly recommend this place!

Excellent all the way around - blocks from park entrance

The property is clearly described and was just as described upon arrival. We were looking for a clean and comfortable place to stay next to the park - this is it. It is in town and right next to other houses and near a hotel - no problem at all, still quiet enough to open the windows at night. Communications were great - easy to find and check in/out. I would note that if you have mobility limitations, the bedrooms are upstairs (as noted in the description) and the stairs are a little tricky. We loved the stay and would be delighted to go back again. And yes, we had a great time in Yellowstone, Grand Tetons, and Cody!

Great location at West Yellowstone Entrance

The cabin is near the West Yellowstone Entrance on a quiet area. It is one street away from the shopping district of the city. There’s plenty space for two people. My husband didn’t like to climb the spiral-like narrow stairway, so he slept downstairs on the sofa in the living room. The cushion of the sofa was a little bit soft for us. Other than that, everything was perfect.

Great comfortable lodging

Just noticed we didn't leave a review yet. Sorry. We were very happy with this cabin. It's very comfortable. The only issue was that the bedrooms are actually one large room upstairs. Nonetheless, we're a close family so it was not a problem. Besides, we were there to see the park and were pretty exhausted at night! Cheers and thanks!
