Steps Away Beach Cottage - Dune Suite offers an unbeatable Cape Cod location just steps from Pleasant Beach in West Harwich. Set on a quiet private cul-de-sac with ocean views, this classic seaside cottage is ideal for guests who value location, privacy, and easy beach access over modern finishes.

This is a well-loved, family-owned cottage with original character. The home dates back to the 1960s and retains many of its original details, including knotty pine wall paneling and cabinetry, and traditional Cape Cod charm. It is clean, comfortable, and fully functional, but intentionally rustic rather than modern. If you’re looking for a brand-new or luxury renovation, this may not be the right fit. If you’re looking for an authentic, old-school Cape beach experience in an exceptional location, you’ve found it.

Guests love the privacy, the less-than-one-minute walk to the beach, and the convenience of off-street parking. No beach stickers, no hassle. Free WiFi, cable TV, and Roku streaming are included.

The Dune Suite (1,100 sq. ft. | Sleeps 4)

Steps Away is a traditional New England Cape with a later addition, forming a duplex-style layout with private entrances and outdoor areas. Both suites enjoy ocean views.

Pleasant Beach offers wide sandy shoreline, gentle waves, and warmer Nantucket Sound water. It’s a family-friendly public beach perfect for swimming, shell collecting, boogie boarding, long shoreline walks, and evening ocean breezes perfect for kite flying.

West Harwich is ideally located just west of the Cape’s “elbow”, close to everything but removed from heavy resort traffic. The drive from Boston is approximately 1.5 hours.

Great location

This property was perfect for a family. I was right next to the beach and was close to all the attractions. We had a great stay there. I would definitely recommend it to others.
