West Anstey: on West Anstey Common Looking north towards Shircombe Farm. Below the farm, nearer the camera, the Dane’s Brook turns through a right angle to run south-south-west past Lyshwell Wood before resuming a more easterly course. It has a confluence with the Barle near Mounsey Castle.

Had no hot water on 2 days of our 3 days stay. Servicing of room not carried out as towels were not changed each day, beds were not made up and coffee and tea were not replenished until we phoned reception. The room bin was not emptied during our stay. We paid £472.50 for 3 nights stay.
