WeserWaldGlück Vacation Rental - "A Little Getaway" - NEW in Wesertal for 4-5 people

Sometimes it doesn’t take much to have a truly wonderful getaway: a cosy retreat, plenty of nature right outside your door, and the people you love spending time with.
Our spacious holiday rental (approx. 100 square metres), WeserWaldGlück “Kleine Auszeit,” is idyllically located in the Weser Valley between the Weser River and the forest. With 2 comfortable bedrooms, a modern bathroom, a living room, and a fully equipped kitchen with a dining table, it accommodates 4–5 people.
Perfect for families, couples, or a small group looking to spend a relaxing time together in the Weserbergland—hiking, biking, and exploring nature all start right at your doorstep.
The apartment is modern, bright, and lovingly furnished, offering plenty of space for dining, playing, and relaxing together.
A highlight for families: In the kitchen, a small play kitchen with matching wooden accessories awaits the youngest guests. While the grown-ups cook, the little ones can join in—or open up their very own holiday kitchen. You’ll also find a selection of board games for all ages, puzzles, and books for adults and children, as well as a whole box full of various toys.
Outside, there’s a small seating area—perfect for your first coffee in the morning or a relaxing evening in the fresh air.
And for little holidaymakers, it gets even better: they can let off steam in the shared outdoor area. There, among other things, a trampoline, a seesaw, and various children’s vehicles are waiting to be tried out—from Puky and Bobby Cars to scooters and skateboards.

In addition to the “Small Getaway” you’ve just discovered here, we also offer the “Large Getaway” for up to 10 people. Two separate holiday apartments under one roof, each with its own unique character.
Are you travelling with more of your favourite people? Then you can book both apartments, giving you space for up to 14 to 15 people. That way, everyone has their own space, yet you’re still very close to one another.

We’re the Vieth family—Stefanie and Sascha, supported (and sometimes overruled) by our daughters Nela and Ella.
What used to stand here wasn’t a romantic cabin in the countryside, but—hard to believe—an old bank branch. Instead of holidaymakers, customers came in with money transfers, and instead of birdsong, you could hear the beeping of printers and the clatter of keyboards.
Then we arrived. With a tonne of ideas, tools in hand, and dust in our hair. With great attention to detail, we transformed the drab branch into our WeserWaldGlück. A place that promises a little adventure and a whole lot of warmth.
Why the name? It’s simple: The Weser is just around the corner, the forest practically starts right at our doorstep—and happiness… well, hopefully you’ll take that home with you. Or find it here over a cup of coffee in the morning sun, during a board game night, or on a walk with a view of the forest.

Gieselwerder is located in the centre of Germany, in the northernmost part of Hesse. It’s an idyllic holiday spot situated directly on the Weser River and surrounded by expansive forests and green meadows.
Geographically, Gieselwerder is situated between the cities of Kassel and Göttingen—about 40 km southwest of Göttingen and 40 km north of Kassel. This makes Gieselwerder an ideal starting point for excursions to both cities as well as to the Reinhardswald Nature Park, which stretches immediately west of the town.
Gieselwerder offers numerous opportunities for hiking, biking, and paddling. In particular, the Weser Bike Trail—one of Germany’s most popular bike paths—runs right past the town and invites visitors to enjoy extended rides.
Those seeking peace and quiet will find tranquil spots by the water, picturesque views from the surrounding hills, or charming excursions into the region’s world of fairy tales and legends—for the Weserbergland is closely linked to the stories of the Brothers Grimm.
The town itself offers, among other things, a miniature museum/ open-air exhibition, a boatmen’s museum, a heated outdoor pool with a 25-meter swimming lane, a diving tower, a non-swimmer’s pool, a slide, a baby pool, a spacious sunbathing lawn, a beach volleyball court, and a playground; a barbecue area with a skate park; as well as shopping options and several restaurants. In the surrounding towns, there are several outdoor and indoor swimming pools, a climbing park, a zoo, a butterfly park, and beautiful historic centers perfect for strolling.
