Woodcock at Kittisford Barton, Somerset with hot tub
Woodcock at Lantern and Larks is one of five off-grid safari tents, set amongst the rolling Somerset hills near Wellington. Just a short drive from the Blackdown Hills National Landscape, your will be spoilt for choice when it comes to country walks and patchwork scenery. Overlooking the wildflower meadow, this peaceful retreat is perfect for couples, families and dogs alike. Complete with a private wood-fired hot tub and unlimited logs, it's the perfect place to relax and reconnect with nature.
Each of our off-grid safari tents at Lantern & Larks, accommodates six guests across three bedrooms. There is one king size room, one twin room and one bunk bedroom. Inside, there is an open plan living area with a spacious kitchen featuring a double gas hob, two cool boxes, a dining table, a comfortable seating area and a wood-burning stove. Each safari tent also has its own private bathroom facilities with running water, as well as its own outdoor seating area with a firepit and unlimited logs included. We provide rechargeable lanterns and hot water bottles to keep you cosy in the evenings - though it's always worth packing for a little bit of everything when it comes to British weather.
If you fancy a little bit of downtime, each of our safari tents has a two-person wood-fired hot tub for your exclusive use located next to your tent. These are the perfect opportunity to relax and enjoy the morning birdsong and views of the nearby wildflower meadow. Or experience the wonderfully starlit night's sky whilst you soak in the comfort of your own secluded haven. The generous spacing between tents provides a genuine sense of exclusivity and tranquillity.
Lantern & Larks have chosen this secluded spot on the Somerset-Devon border as it oozes peace and tranquillity, offering the perfect balance between an outdoor escape in the Somerset countryside and modern comforts. With the Blackdown National Landscape creating an incredible backdrop, it's an ideal base for exploring scenic walking trails and picturesque Somerset villages.
