In the unit, you have access to on-sight hiking, a charcoal grill, a giant chess set on the covered and secluded patio, washer and dryer in the unit, a well stocked library, a jacuzzi tub with jets, a rain-head shower, and four side shower jets, high speed wifi with a very good router, a fenced in yard, parking for two cars, a full kitchen with stove/microwave/full-sized refrigerator and the single bedroom boasts a nearly new king-sized sealy mattress. The cabin is centrally located on a dead-end road with little traffic. Maggie Valley and the Cataloochee Ski Resort are a 6 minute drive from the house, Asheville is only 25 minutes away, almost entirely interstate travel. The Cherokee Casino is equally about 25 minutes in the other direction, if you want to try your luck while you visit. Both Asheville and Cherokee get top name acts regularly. The nearest Blue Ridge Parkway Entrance is 15 minutes from the house and downtown Waynesville is 8 minutes away. As well there are numerous grocery stores, a Walmart, a Michaels and a Best Buy within 10 minutes of the house for necessities and outlets within 30 minutes if you want to do some more serious shopping! If you have a high-stress job like travel nursing, this is the place for you. Also tv above living room was loud . This was after 11 pm And before. When i went to put stuff in the freezer, there was a bunch of stuff in it and stuff was in the refrigerator too. The place was kinda dirty also. Found hair tie, dirt and other stuff on shelving in the jacuzzi tb room . The are also a lot og cobwebs as you come into the entry door to the right and other places. It would've been nice to be someway of controlling the temperature down there too. It was hot during the day and kinda chilly at night. I would bot book if you have any kind of handy cap because the tolit in bathroom would be a problem. It is very low sitting and is hard to get up and down to. Kitchen was conveniently stocked with a lot of kitchen tools and great brand of teas and coffee to choose from. We didn’t get to see it much in the light because of the weather upon our arrival the host was very accommodating in adjusting the thermostat for us upon request. I did come across a respiratory allergy with the scent of musty books and mildew smell and the host provided diffusers to help. I was able to remedy with my own Essentials oils to purify the air. Stayed 3 nights in Jun 2025 ### 6/10 Okay #### Martin C. 21 Aug 2025 Liked: Check-in, location Disliked: Communication, listing accuracy The parking was not for senior citizens.To much slope and then had to walk uphill to enter the house.The jacuzzi we use on time about 15 minutes then the water drained out.The Hot water heater is not large enough it runs out of hot water just above the water spouts on the side of tub.I feel the ad was not explaining the steep parking and uphill walk and tub problems. ##### Martin C. You don’t control the heat or air2\. Not motorcycle or old people friendly 3\. Shower is in the jacuzzi tub accident waiting to happen 4\. Bed is wore slam out5\. Bad water smells like rotten eggs/iron 6\. Book says quite time 10pm guess what the people above you are very loud at 11 and midnight7\. Smells like heavy weed 8\. Low ceilings I’m 6ft and the fan could take my head off. 9\. Area is nasty and dirty 10\. People came in the house while we were gone to eat I have proof. In all the years of traveling I have never left a bad review or just felt disgusted this place is it I’d avoid it at all cost ##### David E. Its in a basement with 6 foot ceilings and is dark.
