"Arrived early, room ready but used Expedia so wouldn’t let us in early, going to charge $50.00 extra. Gentleman not very friendly but when we came back the lady very helpful. Very old hotel but within walking distance of restaurants. A lot of street noise. No black out curtains, light from street very bright had to hang blanket. Probably would not stay there again"

"The tub would not drain. The first shower i discovered it and bathed in others gunk coming up. Then i had to Plug drain to take next shower. I was given the wrong directions to get to my room and had heavy stuff. I had to re park car as well. No refrig or microwave. What kind of place does not provide this? "

"Lone Oak Lodge is convenient & very close by to many places I wanted to see —- Monterey, Carmel, Carmel Valley, Pebble Beach, 17 Mile Drive, Pacific Grove, Carmel Mission Basilica Church. Only 5 to 15 minutes drive. Stayed here a couple of nights. Reasonable price for huge, clean room & accommodating staff, including the housekeeping. The smell of the room though is too clean! Ingredients of cleaning supplies might be a bit much for people with smell sensitivity. Thank you!"

"There is no on site parking. I had to go to a public parking lot before 9 AM every day to pay for the day's parking. It was not expensive, $8, but I had to be up early to get to get it done."

"We enjoyed our time! Take advantage of the free wine. You get two glasses per guest every night. We didn't know it was for each night! Lol I wished the sauna and cold plunge were free. It was a bit pricey, we loved that it was a dog friendly hotel. Enjoy the amenities, the beautiful view and beach access. We will return again for sure."
