I arrived a few minutes earlier. They told me they’re gonna charge me 10 pound for early checking so I waited 10 minutes. There was no Internet for the duration of my visit. Wi-Fi was off to go to the hotel nearby to get Wi-Fi. Bathrooms are moldy toilet seats, touch from the wall other than that it was only one night experience so much to complain about.

We enjoyed the proximity of this hotel to the shopping mall and the old town. When we arrived another couple had asked the front desk to arrange a taxi to the port terminal. The clerk directed them to a terminal on the desk which wouldn't accept their phone number. Fortunately another operative (Madie) took over and arranged a taxi for them. Which is the customer service I would expect. Maybe the first clerk was training. Our stay was very enjoyable and we would recommend this hotel.

Close to the cruise ship terminal, coach terminal and train station. A lot of shops and restaurants near by. The downside is the room is small but it is fine for 1 night stay. Breakfast is good.

About 15 minutes walk from hotel to cruise terminal. Shout out to Josh front desk and b’fast and to Eleanor waitress. terrific. Breakfast great. Very affordable - booked weeks ago and stayed 2 nights. Ask for quiet room away from elevator.

You get what you pay for, the bedroom was very very tight. No room to move around especially if you’re sharing. The room needed a deep clean as there was dust which aggravated my allergies. I will not be staying here again.

Extremely clean. Walking distance to mall. Some even walked to cruise ship. I did not. 7-pound trip to port by taxi (10-minute drive). However, no hot water in am before cruise. Not good in January. McDonalds and Fridays in the same court as hotel. If you get in early try these. The restaurant is just average.

Fine for cheap overnight stay.
The stay was fine. I guess you can't expect premium levels of service and accomodation at this price point. The check-in process was ok - a bit lack-luster, no real enthusiasm or passionate customer service, and whilst it's not necessarily the hotel's fault, on each occasion we walked through the main doors during our ins-and-outs, we had to walk through plumes of cigarette and vape smoke as people seem to congregate at the main entrance. The room itself was very tired looking, however, it was clean and tidy. It just appears that the whole place has been treated to a of bit bodging/tarting up to make it look reasonably presentable. On a genuine positive - the bed was comfy enough, and the blackout curtains worked well. Overall, the Ibis at Southampton was fine for a quick overnight stay, although it did make me wonder what the budget offering (across the road) would be like, if the standard Ibis was a bit tired out?!

Convenient hotel for the station and shops etc. Room satisfactory but same as last visit in October the Room key was disabled at 11AM or before when we could stay in Room until 12.

Nice but….
Room was small but did the job. Bathroom looked tired. Staff were all super friendly. Breakfast was nice. Scrambled egg looked disgusting. Loads of it looked old and grim. I’ve stay for the night. Wouldn’t want to stay longer.
