    LOCAL FAVORITES
Start with coffee and breakfast from the Warren Store, then head out for a day on the slopes or a quiet snowshoe through the woods. Spend an afternoon exploring Waitsfield’s shops, stop for a beer at Lawson’s Finest, or settle in for pizza at American Flatbread. A sauna session at Savu is a good reason to take a day off from skiing.

    WINTER ACCESS
Our chalet is up a steep dirt road. AWD/4WD plus winter tires are required November–April. I’m happy to answer any questions about the drive.

    Guest access
Guests have full private access to the entire Chalet, including the yard, fire pit, wrap-around deck, porch swing, workshop lake gear area, and parking for two vehicles.

Across the road on the same private property is our Alpine Suite, a separate and fully independent rental with its own driveway, entrance, and outdoor space. Some guests reserve both homes together for larger groups while maintaining privacy.

The chalet itself is private and not shared with other guests.

    Other things to note

    ACCESSIBILITY
The chalet is accessed via several exterior steps. Inside, the hand-hewn loft stairs are steep and narrow, as is typical of traditional log homes, and may be challenging for guests with mobility concerns.

    DRIVING AND ACCESS
    • The chalet is accessed by a steep Vermont dirt road, with the final 1/10 mile all uphill.
    • November through April: AWD/4WD and winter tires are required.
    • April through early May (mud season): A higher-clearance vehicle is strongly recommended due to muddy road conditions.
    • May through October: No special vehicle requirements.
    • Please plan accordingly, as weather and road conditions can change quickly.

    RURAL SETTING
    • The chalet is located in a quiet, wooded setting.
    • Guests may see wildlife and hear occasional seasonal maintenance typical of a rural Vermont property.
    • Cellular service is limited to poor depending on your carrier, but the Wi-Fi is reliable, and enabling Wi-Fi calling before arrival is strongly recommended.

    SECURITY CAMERAS
Exterior security cameras are located on the property and monitor the driveway and entrances. There are no cameras inside the cabin or in private guest areas.

The Chalet was magical. The host has everything you would ever need there. It was super clean, comfy and inviting. Warren is a beautiful area and this cabin is tucked away and private. Book it. You won’t be disappointed

Hard to find. Loved the chalet itself, but the stairs to get in were a challenge with luggage for elderly.
