"It's a little off the beaten path but well worth it. My husband and I travel a lot with our business and this is our go to in the DesMoines area.. My only complaint is not having ANY housekeeping,especially since we were there for 3 nights and there weren't enough towels for 2 of us . We leave around 6:30am and return about 10pm. I dont want to have to hunt down towels to take a shower. We stay here at least 2x a year. The staff is the best. Front desk staff was super! Breakfast was,as always, amazing. A large variety of breakfast foods to choose from. Parking is a little tight. We'll be back in the spring!!!"

"We didn't get a chance to try the breakfast but it smelled great! A good amount of wear and tear in our room (especially the bathroom), my daughter complained of the cheap TP (you could see through it, it was so thin), beds were incredibly comfortable so we slept great, market had nearly nothing in it for snacks, front staff was never at the front desk when i needed something, i had to knock on the door to their back room to get checked in. All in all, a fine stay, but nothing spectacular. For the same price, I feel like I could find better."

"My experience with visiting Iowa for the first time was highlighted by a three night stay at Clay’s…The property is secluded, accented with well manicured lawns, conveniently located to restaurants and a business thoroughfare. It’s also a short distance to/from the airport, which for me was ideal.Speaking of which, the communication received and outlined with respect to space amenities was top-notch.And to catch a glimpse of a deer grazing the morning of my departure was a perfect summation of the trip, which was peaceful and serene.I’ll definitely be back and have already started planning a follow up visit.Thanks again!"
