"This was our favourite hotel our entire trip. location was right in the middle of town making it easy to access both by the car but also on the walks about. anything you need was in walking distance. The bed was so comfy we sleep the whole night through and then some."

"This was a great spot for our first time to Cape Breton. It was a perfect location to easily go on either side of Bras D’Or lake. Port Hawkesbury is 20 minutes away so getting groceries and finding a good spot to eat was easy. The cottage was perfect for two, clean, cozy, and with a great view. Props to the host for thinking of the little extras that people might forget to pack, like a makeup towel, hair elastics, first aid kit and even tea and coffee. Not every place includes that stuff or thinks of those things. A for that. "

"Sandy and John are what Cape Breton hospitality is all about. Their well appointed home has everything you need and more. The magical path to the beach is lit with fairy lights and although a fire ban was in place during our visit we enjoyed their deck fire pit on crisp October nights. The house is secluded and surrounded by beautiful fall foliage. Internet and a large screen smart tv are available for rainy days. Not a sound was heard or a living soul spotted during our stay and we slept oh so well. Our only complaint is that we couldn’t stay longer. John and Sandy are responsive hosts and we highly recommend their lovely home. "

"We had an incredible stay at Lazy Bear cottage! The view was absolutely stunning, and the hosts Alexandra and the Mashaghati family thought of everything. We especially appreciated the thoughtful extras like robes and slippers, which added a luxurious touch. After long days of exploring the beauty of Cape Breton, the hotter and fire pit on the porch were the ultimate way to unwind - peaceful, relaxing, and just perfect. "The Lakeside Dome is a perfect spot for a quiet getaway. We enjoyed the view of the lake and it was very close to the Dundee resort where we were attending a wedding. A nice retreat."
