This fully equipped wagon is a cosy sanctuary to restore your pioneer spirit. Two queen size beds are accessed by steps and there's an outdoor bath and shower with a separate composting toilet in its own adjacent hut. A wood fire or heater keeps the beautifully crafted kauri and oak timber interior warm on cooler days. This is the ideal place for a couple to get away from the hustle of daily life. Even in stormy nights staying in this house truck is a comfortable experience. Golden Bay Hideaway - don't hesitate to look us up, four unique accommodation options. There is plenty of room for parking and the generous surroundings are all yours. \*\* Peaceful and private \*\* Beautifully handcrafted \*\* Luxurious outside bath \*\* Amazing sea views \*\* Cosy and warm \*\* Unique Kiwi experience \*\* Sleeps four There's no TV or wifi but you'll be entertained all the same: Beautiful sunsets - over the water in winter and the mountains in summer. Walk to Wainui Falls -through lush original forest and over a swing bridge. Go swimming or bird watching - the clear waters and sands around Wainui Bay are ideal. Paddleboarding and kitesurfing - awesome spot with northwesterly winds, flat water in the estuary with high tide and waves out in the beach. Facilities: \* Sleeps up to four people \* Shower and bath outside \* Stereo with bluetooth connectivity and CD player \* Fully equipped kitchen with tea, coffee/plunger, sugar, milk powder, olive oil \* Two queen-size beds \* Detached compost toilet outside, emptied each changeover \* Linen and bedding provided \* Wood stove and electric heater The closest restaurants and cafes are in Pohara, 15 min drive back toward Takaka, where there is also a mini supermarket which sells a range of food and wine. The closest supermarket is in Takaka, about 25 km from our place.
