Hello, Richard Thank you for staying with us. We had a quick rain that must have knocked some branches off my pecan tree and the native grasses grow super fast. All this fell in-between my regular mowing. It gets mowed once a week, so the timing was against me. As far as the neighbors go, I am sure their homes are not as nice as yours, but they are hard working and quiet and watch over my house. There is “0” crime in this little working class neighborhood and I hand picked it for this reason because it is safe, quiet and the location is phenomenal. If you stay by the Silos and you will deal with homeless people and low-income housing and half-way homes. This is the best option, I assure you.

Hello, Barbara I am disappointed you didn't enjoy your stay. I had just checked the home prior your arrival and found it in good order. To your comments, I am very confused. 1. The neighborhood is composed of small mixed-raced working class families. I have owned this home for 7 years and nothing has ever happened. You can check crime records and see this is a little haven. I am sorry if these people do not look like you, but they are wonderful and I am totally safe when I stay there. 2. I find your comments about the towels curious. We have a hand towel, 4-5 large towels and there is a stack of smaller towels on top of the towel rack. I can only put so many towels in this bathroom, but they are there. If they are not, contact me and I will correct immediately. 3. Communication. Please go back and look at our message thread. You will see I messaged you the next day after your booking and sent you a bunch of good ideas for food and fun around town. I actually doubled this info as you got closer and even left my and my wife's names and numbers for you to all and said to contact me anytime should you have issues. I would have happily addressed your concern and told you where the hidden key was to access the cleaning closet for the towels you wanted. Guests do not generally want to be contacted by the owners so I communicated as much as I could without being invasive. I am sorry that wasn't good enough for you but you stayed here 3 days and I would have been more than happy to fix whatever issue you were having. Barbara, these reviews are important. They can impact my home and investment and are insulting to my neighbors. When you stay at another home next, please give the owner the chance to make your issue right. Hello, all. Jill and I always take these reviews seriously and look for ways to improve the experience for the next guest. We have, or are in the process of, addressing each issue raised. Unfortunately, this situation could have been easily handled had this guest just called me. The lock box is fixed. Again, it's hidden and not an issue for safety, but it is addressed. We have extra sheets and towels in a guest closet. I could have told her where to look had she just called or texted. I am available until midnight nearly every day. The dog poop was in the front yard. I have no control over that, I'm afraid. The sheets are always washed and I'm sorry one had a set-in stain. We are working with the professional cleaning company we hired to vet these better. As far as the neighborhood, I am very fond of my neighbors who are hard working folk that are being squeezed out by an expanding city. They don't have as nice a home as this guest, but they watch out for me and I can say this home has never had an issue in the 7 years I have owned it. We LOVE staying here. You are safer here than you would be by the Silos where there are homeless and low income housing all around. The house has never been broken into. The back door was damaged by a guest. It operates just fine and you have to look to see some minor damage. The repair is just beyond my skill-set, so I am waiting for some other maintenance to bundle together to get it fixed. I have reached out to the guest and explained these things. She agrees to remove the review. I hope she can because all this would have been fixed by communication. Hello, Sabrina Thank you for staying with us. I do not appreciate the comment about my neighbors. This is a quiet, multi-racial, blue-collar working family neighborhood that is in a transition. I hand-picked this neighborhood for this home because of location and how quiet it was. I did not want a property by the silos…that’s a real issue. My wife left her purse on the sidewalk for 3 hours and it was still there. Someone left a brand new handicap tag on my mailbox for a week and it was still there. I have stayed at this home off and on for 3 years and no one has ever had an incident. Our cleaning company uses the family behind us for a babysitter and my maintenance man who has keys to all my homes, lives nearby. I can’t help if my neighbors don’t have homes that look like yours or don’t look like you, but this is a quiet and kind little area that is being updated and renovated as I write this. I hope you will see them through my eyes someday.

Kimberlie! Thank you for such a wonderful review. We are so grateful. We spend a lot of time, personally, in this little home. It is easy, homey and so close to everything. We love the little Neighborhood and have funny stories about forgetting my wife’s purse on the sidewalk for 3 hours and it still being there, or our very expensive petite King Charles Cav getting loose and being brought back with a chew toy in her mouth, etc. My wife spent a week there alone while I was out of town, and never felt afraid.
