    When you walk in, you are greeted with 12 foot coffered ceilings and cozy rooms for all your guests. Wonderful touches abound where modern meets old world. This house has an AWESOME set up. We went for a girls weekend. The space is open with a beautiful kitchen. There are more cooking utensils here than any other property I've stayed. Nice big dining table for all to gather. Comfortable living room to relax as a group. The bedrooms are beautiful and the beds are comfortable. Nice bathrooms that were clean and accommodated all the women. Josh was a great host. He made it easy and even helped out with great places to visit and eat. All agreed we would stay here again!

Just as good the second time!

My second time staying at the Writers Cottage and it was equally as fabulous as the first stay. Came with friends this time and we loved the relaxing atmosphere. All aspects of our stay were wonderful!

Lovely staycation!

We loved staying here! Was perfect for a quick getaway! Home is interestingly comfortable and full of beautiful art pieces that made for a lovely 4th of July! Enjoyed the tasteful living room furniture and quiet neighborhood.

Love Writers Cottage!

Second time my group of friends has stayed here! It’s a perfect location to find your way around Waco. We love the fun quirky decor and space ! We actually planned our last trip around staying there and look forward to coming again!

Wonderful place for a weekend with friends

Our group had a cozy and comfortable stay. The home is spacious and perfect for small groups, with plenty of room for everyone to spread out and relax. The sleeping arrangements were incredibly comfortable. The indoor and outdoor seating areas were fantastic — we loved having the option to relax inside or enjoy the fresh air outside. Overall, it was a perfect place for our group to come together, reconnect and enjoy a memorable getaway. I would absolutely stay here again.

Joshua’s home was truly one of my favorite stays ever. I have had the opportunity to stay in many beautiful homes, and this one stood out in such a special way. Every detail felt thoughtful, intentional, and welcoming. I especially loved the eclectic touches and unique design elements that somehow came together perfectly to create a space that felt both luxurious and deeply comfortable.My favorite touch was the lighting. The lamps were absolutely wonderful and thoughtfully placed throughout the home, creating such a warm and inviting ambiance. The lighting perfectly complemented the interior design, which included delightful details like beautiful Wedgwood china displayed in the curio cabinet and exquisite doorknobs that honestly made me want the same ones for my own home.This lovely home made being away from my usual routine feel easy and peaceful. It was the perfect environment to relax, focus, and recharge.The interior of the home was impeccably clean and very well cared for. Communication was excellent, instructions were clear, and Joshua was a gracious and attentive host throughout the stay.I would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a memorable and beautifully curated place to stay.

Our favorite house in Waco!

Always a great time. Perfect house for family and friends to gather when we visit our Baylor girls. Well appointed kitchen allows us to stay in and cook so we don’t have to eat out every meal.

Baylor graduation weekend

Beautiful property with exquisite furnishings & art. The home is spacious, has plenty of seating & a fabulous kitchen that is fully stocked to prepare meals. We will absolutely rent this again for future Waco trips! Loved the backyard and we enjoyed sitting around the fire pit!

Cozy Cottage

I stayed here with my mom and two sisters for a girls trip weekend. We absolutely loved it. The home was beautifully decorated and we loved the kitchen. Very cozy and clean. I will definitely be back.
