Located just three walking blocks from the beach and boardwalk, this upstairs unit is in the heart of all the activity Virginia Beach has to offer. The home is central to stores, restaurants, shopping, coffee shops, farmers markets, gyms and is also walking distance to the Convention Center and the new Sports Center. This one bedroom rental is located upstairs above another one of our rentals (a two bedroom, one bath rental), sleeps 2-4 people comfortably and is set back on a quiet street. Lounge with a book or get some fresh air while enjoying the 360 degree views of the ViBe District from the private second floor deck. This beach bungalow features a large private bedroom with a queen sized bed and a full bathroom with a standing shower. Complimentary shampoos and shower essentials are provided, along with a hair dryer for your convenience. The living area has a large couch, a smart TV for streaming and basic cable. There is also Free WiFi throughout the home. You will have access to a kitchen with a small dining area, a toaster, a dishwasher, a microwave, a washer and dryer, and cookware and china for your needs. There is a small dining table for four, as well. You can also take your meals out back and enjoy on the wrap around deck, accesible from the living room, for lots of outdoor space. This spot is the perfect beach getaway for a couple looking to enjoy a comfortable home away from home while exploring the hustle and bustle of the Virginia Beach Oceanfront. We provide bed linens, two towel sets and a starter pack of toilet paper, trash bags and paper towels. Guests are responsible for replenishing their supplies as needed. This home has private parking available for one vehicle. About The Area To make your taste buds sing, stop by one of the many ViBe Neighborhood restaurants on our block. Java Surf, Commune, Stockpot, Crocs, Prosperity Kitchen, Baby Izakaya, Beach Bully BBQ, Barrel 17, Hearth and Esoteric are some favorites. Housed in a 1920s-era building on the Virginia Beach Historical Registry, Esoteric is serving up European-influenced fare using local ingredients, many of them sourced from its on-site garden, which it shares with Commune and Roost Flowers. The outdoor seating is draped in string lights and overlooks the garden. How's that for knowing where your food came from? While you can find all manners of artwork within the quaint shops and 7 different coffeehouses that comprise the area, the ViBe District is a work of art in and of itself. Look around and enjoy the bright murals throughout the neighborhood, most of which were done by local artists, located on most of the local businesses in the area. Take the ViBe Mural Walking Tour, an easy, one-mile walking tour, to capture shots for an unbeatable photo op. In addition to great food and works of art, this neighborhood is also one of our favorite spots for shopping that is uniquely Virginia Beach. For custom, hand-painted signs and pin-striping, check out Igor's Custom, a local favorite, whose work is found all around town. His designs are done the old-school way, so you won't find any computers in his studio. Located next door to Igor's, in a strip of quaint studios and coffee shops known as The Alley, North End Bag Company features handmade leather bags, using a variety of multi-era vintage sewing machines. From when the design is sketched to when the sewing machine whirs to a stop, no detail is overlooked in building these timeless and sturdy bags. Local artists, crafters, leather smiths, sign painters, coffee masters, culinary arts, distilled spirits, surf and skate culture, fashion and accessories, beauty and lifestyle brands, health and fitness, farmer's markets, live music, performing arts and more… Find it all in our neighborhood—The ViBe Creative District nestled within just three walking blocks from the oceanfront. Some Important Points: If you have booked a stay longer than 2 weeks, you will be responsible for providing your own bed sheets and bath towels as our linen rental company cannot cover this duration of time. It’s a nice place to stay, but they need to cater to people that travel. Could have some beach towels. Needs more kitchen, utensils, and pots and pans for people that cook. However, we found dark mold in the air conditioning units upon arrival. We contacted the managers and they said they’d send someone to clean it, but they never did. We also found numerous cockroach-like insects through the property indoors. Great for location, not so great for cleanliness. ##### Kenneth F. We were there mostly for work as we had a food show at the convention center but did get to enjoy the beach and the great restaurants nearby. Had one issue with the electric as I blew a fuse in the bathroom that the maintenance person, I believe name was Pat, was very helpful to help us get the breaker reset. So with that said there was some electrical issues that might need addressed and there were quite a few of the outlets that did not work. And the only other thing that we recommend to might udgrade is the couch. It was not very comfortable..LOL. But overall the house was rented at a great price and we enjoyed ourselves. This place was perfect. A bit more spacious than it appeared in the listing - and also updated vs. the photos that accompany this listing currently (laminate floors, wooden beams painted). We found check in easy, and it was clean. There was quick access to everything (both north end (where we would take the dogs to walk on the beach) and south end (parks, aquarium etc), not to mention it was so much fun staying and walking around the Vibe district with its numerable shops, restaurants and artwork. Our only suggestions were to perhaps provide an area to clean feet and paws when coming in from the beach/sand/street. The outdoor faucet in the downstairs was broken and the one off the second floor saw water seep through the deck onto the downstairs outdoor furniture. I only make this suggestion as the area of beach where dogs are allowed to frolic (above 42nd) does not have any way to rinse feet/paws and we wanted to be respectful guests to the renters downstairs (and also not track in sand into our rental). Again, could not have asked for a better rental in a better area to meet our needs this vacation! ##### Stephanie B. The vibe area is great. Very safe! Short walk to the beach and shops are all around you. Alot of local businesses. The place was nicer than the pictures and everything we needed was there.
