Historic Carriage House at the Church Point Manor

  • The luxurious, French-styled Carriage House is a 3-bedroom villa at the historic Church Point Manor (built in 1860). With a first-floor, King-bed room and two upstairs, queen-bed rooms, the Carriage House can comfortably host up to 6 guests. Every bedroom has an en-suite bathroom, it’s own thermostat and central A/C and heating unit, and a fully-stocked coffee bar. The front door opens to an intimate and cozy foyer and dining area and continues into an expansive living room with a 50" TV and a wood burning fireplace. Three arched carriage doors open to the outside, allowing guests to enjoy an indoor-outdoor space from the foyer or living room.

    Enjoy a match of tennis or pickle ball on our secluded tennis court, or play a round of bocce ball on our charming grounds (equipment included). Relax for the evening on the covered porch just 20 feet away from our 300-year-old, award-winning (yes, really!) willow oak tree.

One of the most beautiful and comfortable VRBO properties we have stayed at. Tyler and Kate could not have been more responsive and also incredibly nice to us! The planned in advance reservation turned into an unexpected close family member passing away in Chesapeake just 2 days prior, so we appreciated how everything went smoothly and no added stress for us and could return to the property after some rough days. Definitely will try to book for future visits to the area.

Fantastic Stay

Such a wonderful property. As beautiful as the photos and the trail and dock were my favorite part - luckily we had some nice weather while we were there! Tyler and Kate were so helpful and accommodating. We will absolutely stay here again when we’re in town visiting family.

Wonderful Cottage

Our stay at this charming cottage was wonderful. We all were able to relax in a quite setting, with wonderful accommodation and beautiful grounds to explore. Sister’s Trip

The absolutely perfect place for our sister’s get away. We have been meeting for special occasions for many years and this is one of the loveliest by far. Great for walking, we all loved the hiking trail,close to restaurants and the beach.Go to Mike Hill’s Love Song for a wonderful dinner.

Great Cottage in very nice neighborhood.

This stay definitely exceeded our expectations. We had a total of 5 adults (all immediate family) and everyone was comfortable. The woodburning fireplace was wonderful on the chilly mornings. The host, Tyler was very quick and responsive for the couple of request we had. We will stay there again for sure.

Perfect location for family reunion

6 family members stayed in 3 bedroom, 3 bath carriage house. Easy and smooth check-in and check-out. 3 brothers and their wives enjoyed having the sepArate bedrooms and bathrooms. Living areas accommodated the 6 of us easily. The place was close to restaurants and shopping.

Beautiful home

My husband, his parents and our 2 year old stayed at the Carriage House again for the second time and as usual, it was a wonderful stay! Everything is in great condition, love having separate AC in each room so everyone could be in a temp they prefer, and beautiful grounds to walk. We love staying here and plan to continue to any time we visit the area. Tyler and Kate are wonderful hosts!

Short Getaway

The cottage was immaculate and charming! It gives you such a welcoming and comfortable feeling right away. We enjoyed the nature trail and dock many times during our 3 days on the property. We look forward to returning when the weather is warmer but it was a delightful way to start the New Year!

Terrific home in great neighborhood.

We had a fantastic time and, after living out of hotels for over a week, it was especially nice to stay at this beautiful and well maintained property. The neighborhood was beautiful, the home was perfectly stocked, and the bedrooms were all clean, individually decorated, and as neat as they could be.Communication with the host was flawless.There were only two of us but the home could accommodate 6 easily.Hopefully we'll be back!!

Flower show trip

We came to enter a floral arrangement in a flower show given by the Virginia Beach Garden Club. We needed space to do the arrangement, space to relax and space to sleep. The property is really adorable, clean and well-appointed and the location is upscale and safe. Restaurants and shops are within close distance and the neighborhood is good also good for walking. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it.

The Carriage House and grounds were beautiful. One thing to be aware of is that the kitchen does not have a full size range and oven. It has a plug in range stored in one of the cabinets for use, a small refrigerator, a microwave, toaster oven, and full size sink.

Baby shower

This is a wonderful property. We rented the carraige house for 4 days as we were hosting a baby shower for daughter with the attached Manor House in the Wine Celler. The owners made the experience very easy as we were planning from across country. The carraige house was perfect for the family as had 3 master suites, with ample room to hang out in living area. The property was very clean and had a lovely boardwalk down to the water. All of our guest were very impressed with the venue. Could not have asked for a better situation and stay. Will definitely use again when back in the area.
