We are dedicated to addressing all feedback, ensuring deep cleaning of the units, and providing the best possible experience for our visitors. New photos to come! PETS CONSIDERED FOR A FEE // MINIMUM AGE REQUIREMENTS TO BOOK // FREE WIFI + SMART TV STREAMING // PRIVATE PARKING // LINENS AND TOWELS Very Important: Please ensure you ask about bringing your four-legged family member, we require a pet fee of $100\. We also require all pets to receive their flea and tick medication regularly and crates are preferred when you are out and about. Please keep heavily shedding pups off the furniture. All of these requests really help the owners feel more comfortable opening their homes to your furry loved ones as well as aiding in housekeeping practices. The backyard is not fully enclosed for animals to be let loose off leash. Please be respectful of the shared space in the back and keep pets on a leash at all times. This South End Vibe District beach bungalow is located on 18th Street in what has been coined by locals as the arts and culture district. Located just three walking blocks from the beach and boardwalk, this house is in the heart of all the activity Virginia Beach has to offer. The home is central to stores, restaurants, shopping, coffee shops, farmers markets, gyms and is also walking distance to the Convention Center and the new Sports Center. This first floor, fully furnished cottage features two bedrooms and one full bathroom. The house sleeps four guests comfortably (no more than four people allowed at any given time according to city mandates) in a queen bedroom and a bedroom with two twin sized beds. The two bedrooms share a hallway bathroom equipped with a shower/bathtub combination. Complimentary shampoos and shower essentials are provided, along with a hair dryer for your convenience. When you enter the home, you will walk into the cozy living room, furnished with a comfortable couch situated in front of a large television for your entertainment. The smart TV is also equipped with cable. There is Free WIFI throughout the cottage to keep you connected. The kitchen overlooks the living area, perfect for cooking and catching up with one another. There is a kitchen bar area with four stools for seated dining. The kitchen area conveniently features the washer and dryer, a cooktop, toaster oven, microwave, and a dishwasher. It also comes fully-equipped with cookware, china and glassware for four people. There is a large shaded back deck with a picnic table which allows for additional dining for your group of four to enjoy. This is a shared space with the upstairs unit, 508B. The property has private parking for two vehicles directly out front. We provide bed linens, four towel sets and a starter pack of toilet paper, trash bags and paper towels. Guests are responsible for replenishing their supplies as needed. About The Area To make your taste buds sing, stop by one of the many ViBe Neighborhood restaurants on our block. Java Surf, Commune, Stockpot, Crocs, Prosperity Kitchen, Baby Izakaya, Beach Bully BBQ, Barrel 17, Hearth and Esoteric are some favorites. Housed in a 1920s-era building on the Virginia Beach Historical Registry, Esoteric is serving up European-influenced fare using local ingredients, many of them sourced from its on-site garden, which it shares with Commune and Roost Flowers. The outdoor seating is draped in string lights and overlooks the garden. How's that for knowing where your food came from? While you can find all manners of artwork within the quaint shops and 7 different coffeehouses that comprise the area, the ViBe District is a work of art in and of itself. Look around and enjoy the bright murals throughout the neighborhood, most of which were done by local artists, located on most of the local businesses in the area. Take the ViBe Mural Walking Tour, an easy, one-mile walking tour, to capture shots for an unbeatable photo op. In addition to great food and works of art, this neighborhood is also one of our favorite spots for shopping that is uniquely Virginia Beach. For custom, hand-painted signs and pin-striping, check out Igor's Custom, a local favorite, whose work is found all around town. His designs are done the old-school way, so you won't find any computers in his studio. Located next door to Igor's, in a strip of quaint studios and coffee shops known as The Alley, North End Bag Company features handmade leather bags, using a variety of multi-era vintage sewing machines. From when the design is sketched to when the sewing machine whirs to a stop, no detail is overlooked in building these timeless and sturdy bags. Local artists, crafters, leather smiths, sign painters, coffee masters, culinary arts, distilled spirits, surf and skate culture, fashion and accessories, beauty and lifestyle brands, health and fitness, farmer's markets, live music, performing arts and more… Find it all in our neighborhood—The ViBe Creative District nestled within just three walking blocks from the oceanfront. Some Important Points: If you have booked a stay longer than 2 weeks, you will be responsible for providing your own bed sheets and bath towels as our linen rental company cannot cover this duration of time. For all short term rentals, we will provide your bed sheets and bath towels. Please pay the pet fee if you are traveling with your four-legged family members. The fee is $100. Beach equipment and bikes are not included but we do offer concierge rentals. These rentals will be delivered to the house and picked up upon departure. I didnt think the establishment behind us was disruptive, but that could be time of year. Nobodys fault but my GPS was confused with the location of the front of the property. It took me to the rear. The cottage is located in the heart of the active art district with options for those interested in the late night social atmosphere. Easy walking distance to the beach and shops. The bedrooms worked well for our family of four and everything we needed was provided in the kitchen for simple meals. I recommend if you are staying over the weekend and are a light sleeper to consider bringing ear plugs as there is a bar in the backyard that stays open until 2am with loud music and people having a great time.The cottage was great for a short weekend stay. ##### Laura R. The unit was exactly as advertised. It was clean and comfortable. My father and I were in town for the Point Break festival so we didn't spend much time at the house. This home was in the perfect location. My son needed to be at the sports complex for an indoor track competition and it was super close; we could walk! We were also close to the beach and boardwalk. Also, there were multiple coffee shops near which was an added bonus. The owners were very easy to get in touch with and lovely to communicate with during our stay as well. This home was cutely decorated and perfect for my family of four. I would most definitely stay again! ##### Michelle C. Easy (ish) walk to the beach for mobile folks. Families with small children or folks that are less mobile may struggle. Tons of amazing food and drink options (for breakfast, lunch, dinner, or late nights) are within a block. But, that does run the risk of noise for anyone wanting to get in bed early or are light sleepers. The house is sandwiched between a late night eatery and a microbrew. Live music can run to 10 pm at either. But folks chatting or leaving either bar can run well past midnight. We went in the off season, so this honestly didn’t bother us; and wish we had more time to take advantage of these! The house itself is all you need. Bathroom is a little small, but “good enough”. Two complaints about the house is that the blinds let through all the light. Definitely bring a sleeping mask if you are staying here, but recommend the owners install curtains over the blinds. The other issue is the backyard is a shared space with the apartment upstairs (no one was renting upstairs when we were there, so unsure if that’s a potential noise issue). A little bit of a privacy “meh”, but also means pets can’t stay in the backyard off leash. There’s a few gaps in fences or under the house that might prevent this in general though. Overall great stay and location for us, but I think some potential renter could have serious issues with the setup as advertised. ##### Zachary S. The location of this home is perfect and the walk/ride/drive to the beach is just a few blocks away. This home is centrally located to some fabulous restaurants, ice cream shops, and micro breweries (one is literally out your front door and across the street which we took full advantage of). The home has a lovely back deck area but it was too hot and humid for us to enjoy as much as we may have liked. The updates to the property are very nice and the washer/dryer was a huge plus for us. I highly suggest renting some beach cruiser bikes or brining your own along with a boogie board. ##### Vanessa N. I absolutely LOVED the back deck area. Really relaxing. I did flip the breaker on the stove just by trying to boil water while heating something in the oven. That needs to be looked at. There is so much construction in the neighborhood, it turns a 3-block walk to the boardwalk into a 5-block walk.
