What a great find. Location is perfect for the train, supermarket, town and marina. The kitchen is very well equipped if you wanted to cook but the town has lots of very nice restaurants within walking distance if you didn’t. The owners where were very helpful and also speak very good English. Would ...
The flat is in a brilliant location, close by to the beach, restaurants, shops and train station. Clean and comfortable bed. Would have liked some more utensils and cups. Some noise from trains but nothing to lose sleep over. Will definitely return especially as everyone was so polite and helpful. ...
Very comfortable, spotlessly clean. Great position. Nothing not to like.
Excellent hotel. Only quibbles were a lack of a Chair in the room and a full length mirror.
Property management was excellent and patient. They waited for me to show up an hour and 1/2 after closing due to the yellow vest protests. Property is about 20 minutes from Nice. Close to the train station (one minute.) Parking area for apt is very small, better to unload the car before ...
This is our 3rd year to stay here at this time of year. The staff are all very friendly and helpful. They go out of their way to advise and help. The property is ideally located very close to the railway station and excellent restaurants.
Charming, just the right size, excellent food! Concierge (s) always knowledgeable and helpful. Well worth the visit!
The lady that received us was very nice, kind and give us very good tips on what to do around town.....
Situated in Beaulieu-sur-Mer, half way between Nice and Monaco, this magnificent Greek-style villa surrounded on three sides by the Mediterranean Sea.
Villa Kerylos was built by the French archaeologist Theodore Reinach and his wife Fanny Kann in early 1900, and was designed as a replica of the luxurious noble houses found on Delos Island in ancient times.
The villa was overseen by Italian architect Emmanuel Pontremoli and took six years to build. When it was finished, its historic appearance hid all the latest modern amenities, including under floor heating.
Today Villa Kerylos is a run as a museum, and visitors can tour the mansion with an audio guide. Inside, you’ll find typical Grecian architecture and style, from the Corinthian marble columns to the colourful frescoes and delicate mosaics. There’s also a tranquil central courtyard with a fountain, old Greek style furniture and lavish fabrics.
Outside, the garden is equally as impressive, filed with olive trees, ruby red pomegranate trees, carob trees and pines, as well as idyllic views of the Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat peninsula and the surrounding village of Beaulieu-sur-Mer. All the plants found in the gardens are reminiscent to those found in Greece.
Just 800 metres from Villa Kerylos lies the Villa Ephrussi de Rothschild, a sumptuous pink-hued building that was completed in 1912 and built to look like a ship at sea. It is possible to visit both villas on a day trip from Nice or Antibes.
Villa Kerylos lies just 10km from Nice and can be reached by train or bus from the city centre. Visitors will find plenty of hotels near Villa Kerylos, either in the centre of Nice itself or in the surrounding area. Accommodation near Villa Kerylos includes a selection of relaxed thee-star properties and luxurious four and five-star hotels with stunning sea views.
