Every staff member we interacted with seemed completely disinterested in the guests. The woman at the front desk put us in one of the absolute worst rooms and didn’t explain how to reach the room which was on the second floor behind some doors that looked like big brown swinging kitchen doors.
My husband and I were celebrating our 30th anniversary and wanted to go someplace special - we were so disappointed in the Sofitel DC experience. We will never go there again!

The air-conditioning was very loud. There is no central airflow. The indoor unit is very loud, it is very difficult to sleep next to it. Also we were on the top floor near the elevator, it was very noisy, there was constant noise.

From the hotel cleanliness, to the extremely welcoming staff, to the endless child friendly amenities, we could not have asked for a better experience. Absolutely could not recommend this hotel more. A must stay in National Harbor!

"Check in was slow. Agent tried to be pleasant. Property and room were old and worn down. Breakfast was ok. Starting at 9 am, two hours before checkout room service began knocking at the door asking us if we were leaving. I don’t think they understood English. I was happy to leave."

"The room was very clean and smelled great once you were inside! The 2nd floor hallway smelled like smoke and was a little offensive, but once we were in our room it was easy to forget what the hallway smelled like. Still highly recommend for a quick overnight or weekend stay! Very affordable."
