This is an absolutely gorgeous historic home that was the perfect setting for our family weekend to southern Illinois. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a house so unique as Hess House and it actually seemed bigger in person. The kids toys and books were a great feature for our young ones. Quite a hidden gem here in Vienna.

Thank you for having us at your wonderful home. My sons and I loved the history of the home, interesting antiques and artifacts, and exploring all the interesting rooms. We came for scuba certification at Mermet Springs and that was splendid. We enjoyed Vienna and were stopping at Metropolis on the way home.
