"This is one of the few places to stay in Vichy that retains its art deco features, and the decor and many objets d'art enhance that. It's a great place to stay for that reason. The management are welcoming and full of information. The restoration of this wonderful building must have posed huge challenges and to an extent those are still present. Our experience was that the reception, and a few other things could have been better, but we coped. Basically, if you read the reviews you will get a fair picture. Great place to stay, many positives but a few downsides, But absent the latter it would cost (really) twice as much. So make your choice."

"Excellent, central location. Within easy walking distance of mainn station, plenty of secure public car parks nearby. Room was clean, bed was super comfortable. Powerful shower. Staff were excellent and extremely helpful. This is an old building, so some creaking floor boards, but this should be expected in a property of this age."

"We had a wonderful stay at Hotel Arverna! We arrived very late after traveling to Vichy for the Tour de France, with a large group, three rooms, and what felt like an endless amount of luggage. The manager could not have been more patient, kind, and accommodating throughout our arrival. They made a potentially stressful check-in so easy and welcoming. Although it was a quick stay, everything was spotless, comfortable, and well cared for. The entire staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, and we truly appreciated the warm hospitality. We wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again if we’re ever back in Vichy. Thank you for making us feel so welcome! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐"

"Appreciated the note in the final e-mail about needing to push the main door hard to gain access. Instructions on how to work the coffee machine would have been useful, I haven't used one like that before and didn't dare try! "
