About this property

Whimsical Creekside Cabin

  • Escape to our cabin in the Blue Ridge Mountains! Fall asleep to sounds of Little Mary’s Creek, enjoy your coffee on the wrap around deck, or delight in exploring your own 7 acres in the forest. Our cabin is a cheerful, clean cottage to come home to- or decide to spend your days on property splashing in the creek and sitting out by the fire pit.

    The space
    Our cozy cabin is a new build that celebrates our relationships and planting roots in Virginia.

    It comfortably sleeps 4 with a queen bed on the main level and 2 single beds in the loft. We are happy to accommodate a 5th guest on a trundle bed in the loft for an additional fee. Please note that the loft is accessed by a mounted ladder with a safety railing, which may not be suitable for all guests.

    The eat in kitchen is fully stocked to prepare all of your meals. We provide organic coffee and teas, sugar, creamer, olive oil, salt and pepper. The bathroom features EWG certified clean shampoo conditioner and local artisan soap.

    Unplug, explore, read from a carefully curated selection of books, or play a number of favorite games. Turn on the tv upstairs or the portable DVD downstairs to enjoy a variety of movies.

    Our cabin is on the side of the mountain with some steep terrain and lots of natural elements outside to discover. The creek is a fun place to splash and explore.

    Cell phone service is very limited.

    There is no Internet at this time.

    Note that in all of the beauty and serenity of nature, there can be dangers. Please be aware of your surroundings- and remember that we share this amazing property with insects, plants, and animals that are native to the Blue Ridge Mountains.

The cabin was adorable and cozy and the area around it was gorgeous. It was too cold for much time around the firepit, but it was relaxing to just read and play board games. We enjoyed hiking at Crabtree Falls. It was a perfect Thanksgiving getaway.

Great cozy space. This is a fantastic location if you are looking for a remote spot to be off the grid. The creek is a huge advantage compared to other listings. As long as you are ok with no WiFi and bad cell reception, you will love it.

The cabin was very clean and accommodating. We felt extremely comfy and cozy in this wonderful space. My kids really appreciated the snack basket and all the board games. We watched a few movies and enjoyed the fire pit almost every night. My family explored the creek and the woods and loved the view, especially at sunset. At night, the sky was filled with more stars thab I ever see. If youre looking for a peaceful getaway in nature, this is the place. We would love to stay again next time we visit.

We stayed for 3 days with our 3 grandchildren. They had a blast playing in the creek and climbing the rocks. They loved that loft! Such an amazing yard. Listening to litte Mary's creek watching the leaves fall was so peaceful.

The cabin was absolutely perfect! Just the right size, beautifully and comfortably appointed, and perfectly clean. I appreciated the fact that the kitchen included everything we needed since we did some cooking while we were there. In addition, the cabin was situated in the perfect place: shaded by the trees, next to the creek, and just far enough away from civilization that we felt like we were away from the hustle and bustle of life. We will definitely be back!

Beautiful Location!

Everything was just perfect. Alicia provides for every amenity. Even coffee and creamers were provided. The location is beautiful; in a small hollow with a babbling brook you can see close by from the deck.Her recommendations for local attractions, wineries, and restaurants were very helpful.I would highly recommend the creek side cabin to anyone staying in the area.

The pictures don’t do it justice!

This cabin was soooo cute. It was cozy and so peaceful. The creek meanders beautifully just outside and you can hear it from the bedroom. It was very clean and it is a close drive to Crabtree Falls, which was a challenging and gorgeous hike. My spouse and I loved it and will probably book again!

Great little retreat

This is a great little retreat for a small family. Very clean, plenty of movies and games provided. Beautiful setting and property,well maintained. Property owner quick to respond to any questions. Well stoked kitchen. The cellular booster and the home was very helpful.
